Matches Oxford v Pompey 10k+

Decent sales so far.

Just shy of 6,000 home sales, which is pretty good for this stage, and about what we sold for both Wigan and Wycombe at the end of the Monday before the game. Those games were both 7,500 home sales, so in other words, we are five sales days ahead of 7,500, meaning a projection of 8,100/8,500 home sales. Another comparison is that we were targeting 6,700 by the end of the Monday before the game against Sheff Wed to achieve 8,500 home sales (similar to Morecambe) and that is certainly achievable for this game.

The pattern will become clearer over the coming days, but my feeling at the moment is that we're looking at about 8,200/8,300 home sales, which gives us just over 10,000 in total. Of course a decent result at Gillingham and a bit of transfer activity could lift that.

I think the stadium development proposals are getting people geed up too. I’ve been talking about the club with people who usually aren’t quite so interested of late. Things are happening and it’s creating a bit of a buzz - we need to demonstrate that excitement to OCC.

As of 9.30pm on Friday there were 3,436 seats still available, which according to Colin's logarithms means 6,170 home sales I think.

By comparison with the Sheff Wed match we had 3215 tickets left at 12.30pm on the Friday 8 days beforehand so allowing for the fact that today's count is later in the day, we are probably about 300 lower than that match at the same point on a like for like comparison.

The breakdown of remaining seats is

South Stand Lower - 830
Block 1 - 189, 2- 218, 3 - 84, 4 - 14, 5 - 5, 6 - 21, 7 - 116, 8 - 183

South Stand Upper - 597
Block 9 - 244, 10 - 67, 11 - 10, 12 - 0, 13 - 11, 14 - 19, 15 - 246

East Stand - 855
Block 16 - 142, 17 - 164, 18 - 75, 19 - 101, 20 - 139, 21 - 234

North Stand - 1154
Block 22 - 317, 23 - 229, 24 - 236, 25 - 372

Is this for home fans only?

I may be wrong but I thought Pompey had approximately 300 more tickets than Sheff Wed?

Thanks to yourself and Colin as well as any other dot counters.

Encouraging ticket sales so far, but we've got so much more to do in order to guarantee the crowd this team deserves. 10 goals and 6 points in a week should get people talking, but we need to turn that talk into action with ticket sales. We saw the benefit of hundreds of us all pushing the Sheffield Wednesday game so keep up the good work! Let's use pay day and the lift from transfer news to get tickets sold!!! Let's make it happen!

Sales update as of 6:30pm tonight.

Really strong sales of just under 6,800 home sales. This means we're just above the Morecambe figure and about 150 below the Sheff Wed figure at the same time. With Portsmouth having a larger allocation than Wednesday I'll confidently predict a 10,000+ crowd will be achieved, as we're currently sitting at just under 8,600 in total.

Keep it going and it'll be a bigger crowd than last week's.
