Feels like too few friendlies this summer. When exactly do the planned first eleven start playing together? Are we treating the Orient games as a warm up? Perhaps there will be an extra behind closed doors game.

For me the season starts on the 15th Aug.
I did think the the Carbao Cup would be a good bit of income but the prize money is nothing to get excited about:

• • Round 1: £5,000 to winners
  • Round 2: £7,000 to winners
  • Round 3: £10,000 to winners
  • Round 4: £15,000 to winners
  • Quarter-final: £25,000
  • Semi-final: £25,000

True, but get a bit further in and a full house and TV coverage could still bring in best part of 500k which, given our circumstances, isn't to be sniffed at.
