Two Eastwoods between the sticks on Saturday - both Yorkshire born.

Are they related?

Apparently not Simon was born in Luton but grew up in West Yorkshire whilst Jake was born in Rotherham

Got to much time on my hands this morning

Really looking forward to another Saturday, 3pm kick-off- youngest granddaughter and my eldest lad ( me granddaughters Dad- who is beginning to become a semi-regular at home games, from an occasional, itll be his 2nd game this season so far) are both coming. Another tough encounter on the cards, nonetheless I reckon itll be a battling 3-1 home win, with late goals securing the points

A game where people might under estimate Cambridge who have started the season well. They have beaten Bradford away, Reading at home and only lost once which was against Huddersfield. That said we should be winning our home games so I will go with a 2-1 win.

I think we are very much seeing the benefit of two years in the championship so far. The games we have played against 'typical' League One opposition (MK, Stevenage and Burton) have all been close through 60 minutes, but with our improved physicality and fitness from that time in the champ, we do not fall off after the hour mark like we have seen these teams do, allowing us to really take control.
Hoping for the same on Saturday

Becoming harder and harder to predict line-ups because AR clearly likes the Starters/Finishers use of the subs bench and the selection seems to revolve around that a lot.

Nothing against starting the same 11 again, but maybe Tyler and Gats have earned a start as well - but do we get the same impact replacing them later?!

Either way - hopeful of another home win as we seem to be showing a great ability to mix it up with all types of teams and be pretty ruthless when we find our moments in games.

I'm back for my first game since Stevenage, and it's a month until the next home game which is like forever, then I have to miss the Stockport game. I hate this fixture list.
Couldn't agree more! Seemed all lovely and home > away > home > away last season. Easy to plan. Now it seems to be away > away > away > home > home > away etc.

Purely for selfish reasons it's a pain!

We will play as many home games (three) in the eight days from 20th October to 27th October (inclusive) as we will have done in the first 10+ plus weeks of the season (8th August through to 19th October).

Absolute shambles.

The first person referring to or calling this a "derby" should be put in stocks outside the East Stand and pelted with rotten fruit and veg...... for a week.

Solid 2-1 home win as #hmspisstheleague leaves the docks.
My daughter always pulls my leg when we play Cambridge because she went to uni there. She thinks it's the same as the boat race and other varsity matches.

As clever as she is, she doesn't have any common sense or believe me when I say I don't give a f**k about them as a football team 🤣

Sorry if wrong thread, but does anyone know if the club are still doing ticket upgrades, i.e step dad has an over 65 ticket but cant make this game and wondering if i can use/pay the difference for a regular adult ticket - thanks!

yes , they are. I upgraded an 18-24 member ticket to an adult ticket ( for Saturdays game V Cambridge ) yesterday at the ticket office

That was at theirs over a decade again wasn't it? Beaten them since a few times. I think we have a good record at home to them as well.

This is true. I remember watching on a dodgy stream with those quick succession goals thinking the stream was playing up and being gobsmacked at being 3-0 down or whatever it was.
