What was with Sandford being coned off down one side before the roundabout yesterday? Is it likely a one off?

It doesn't affect traffic going both ways or blocks in the houses. Are the authorities trying to be a pain in the a**e with reducing available parking even more?

I'm sure eventually Cumming will win back the #1, but Eastwood is performing admirably.

In some ways I think he is less one-dimensional; when Easty kicks long I have more confidence that the ball won't immediately sail out to touch above the dugouts or come immediately back towards us.

He seems to be able to drop it in an area where we have at least a chance of winning the ball. Couple of occasions yesterday, one particularly where Mo had a lot to do near the corner flag and came out on top

Nice to not dread watching a 90 minute drag!

The time it took to leave the East Stand car park was easily the worst it ever been, those in control and directing traffic seemed to be making it worse than usual not better.

Bowyer said that Joe Lewis, the Burton central defender , should have been sent off but also said we should have been down to ten men too.

I presume he is referencing McDonnell.

Wonder if he was referring to this?

apologies if already mentioned - two ( Donks and Dembele) of yesterday's three goal scorers were sporting a bandage on their left hand

I randomly noticed when watching the
Gregor Robertson wrote about this phenomenon a few months ago. (Hopefully not behind paywall)

Why do so many footballers wear wrist tape?

Well the one thing you can say about our recruitment is that they know how to build a good League one side. Kioso was brilliant yesterday as was Dembele. Glad to see all the players that were frozen out to an extent giving it a go. And the academy lads doing us proud. Win the game in hand and we go top, who'd have thought it.

Not mentioned enough in this thread but Gatlin OD so improved our attacking options today.
Big strong, held the ball up well and scored a goal.
Harris was very disappointing as a 9 today.
Interesting call for AR
I wonder if they will start Gats over Harris soon. He hasn’t played a full game for a while though

Not used to these heady heights - may need oxygen.

One thing that I think is making a huge difference in L1 is fitness. A full, proper pre-season and a lot of the squad having been run ragged in the Championship for two seasons.
It is amazing isn’t it what actually focusing on fitness and tactics rather than playing on mud to showcase Ole Romeny can do!

The fact that our owner then lost interest anyway doubly stings. That last season was an absolute mess.

Saw a dozen or so German guys in matching black tops heading across the car park before the game.
Any idea who they were?

It is a bit of a trend/lucky charm but strikers particularly use them as a preventative measure against wrist injury from falls or having suffered previous problems.
