I've often wondered why Oxford University has never had more of a tie up.
The colleges own more than enough land and could build a proper multi use venue for the football club and the university. Apart from the Iffley Road sports centre, various pitches, university parks and the boat houses, I don't think they have much sporting infrastructure? The swimming pool is only 25m for instance.
Also I notice a few other clubs we played in recent seasons have or had university sponsors.
Northampton, Pompey.
An institution that is over 900 years old the University is hardly going to be innocent.
As I said previously if it was a choice between the University or a betting/vaping company, I’d rather the former, although I except financially that is highly unlikely to happen.
Hopefully there is a brand or company out there we are proud to be associated with.
Make I could use the time machine to show him what his decision leads to, if he still makes it I wont feel bad about double tapping him, obviously the worst of the bunch.

I doubt its hands are entirely clean now. My point is that humanity is a bit scummy, some bloke created Swindon for instance, we are not going to get a sponsor that everyone thinks is clean as a whistle.

I suppose its one better than when you tell people you are from Oxford and they just reply with "The Dictionary?", never really know what to say to that one.
