Or you could say if they hadn't helped Swindon to grow, we would never have had Seven In A Row...There are somethings you can never forgive.

"Right lads, I've invented time travel. Who should we kill first for the betterment of society? Hitler? Pol Pot? Genghis Khan? "Yeah but I would never have been to Swindon so the nimby who made that decision is the first to go if I invent time travel.
I wouldn't hold out much hope for that if you have high standards, the University is not innocent either.

"No, let's get the bloke who refused a train depot in Oxford and thus created Swindon as we know it"
"Great idea, let's go"

Nothing wrong in having high standards.
An institution that is over 900 years old the University is hardly going to be innocent.
As I said previously if it was a choice between the University or a betting/vaping company, I’d rather the former, although I except financially that is highly unlikely to happen.
Hopefully there is a brand or company out there we are proud to be associated with.
The Acme Whistle Company?I doubt its hands are entirely clean now. My point is that humanity is a bit scummy, some bloke created Swindon for instance, we are not going to get a sponsor that everyone thinks is clean as a whistle.
Nothing wrong with those strong Belgian beers. Bloomin lovely........The trappist monks that produce strong Belgian beers and Buckfast and fuel alcoholism?! No trappist monks here thank you!
Nothing wrong with those strong Belgian beers. Bloomin lovely........
I suppose its one better than when you tell people you are from Oxford and they just reply with "The Dictionary?", never really know what to say to that one.
