Non-League Oxford City & University

I always wondered why Tiger didnt do more with the Uni, he wanted OUFC to be a global brand, you cannot get more global than Oxford University.

I wouldn't want to be associated with Rhodes & blood money. The biggest gripe to this day between the locals , is the elitism of the university. What university want's university gets.what locals want locals don't get.. or taken away ....

I'm sure the 16000+ people employed (largest employer in Oxfordshire) are less bothered.

Not too sure about the shirt, but it’s unique and I’ve seen a lot worse, looks like a good tie up for both Ox City and the University.

We’ll wait and see who our sponsors are, but I’d much rather have the University on our shirts than a betting or vaping company. Hopefully a brand or company that we’re proud to be associated with.

I think we would rather have £500K (or whatever) though.

Bit ironic that Brasenose college kicked City out of the White House ground to build houses, now they want to cosy up

Until recently the University has despised professional sport, favouring amateurs like Bannister and Chataway. They had to change to keep up with Olympians and other sports becoming full time with sponsorship deals and endorsements.

Even more Ironic that that is the College the new kit photo shoot took place in.

It could be argued that the University are indirectly responsible for the industrialisation of Swindon by blocking the GWR from setting up their engineering works in Oxford in the 1800s. They chose a small Wiltshire market town on the Bristol main line instead.

There are somethings you can never forgive.
