Whilst training camps and pre-season friendlies are supposed to be for the benefit of the players and staff, it seems odd for one of the Ireland matches to be an hour and a half away from the others but in the middle of three days. Why not just have a behind closed doors friendly?

Both games are quite local so I guess it will give KR a view of different groups of players in a competitive environment.

Main squad split into two XIs playing first 75 mins or so, then youth teamers coming on to finish each game (bombing down the motorway in the minibus so that the same lads can get 15 mins in both).
Seem to remember somethign similar a few years ago
