Oxford United Women Ready For League Opener

Oxford United Women are ready to kick off their season on Sunday at Court Place Farm, with a home fixture against Chichester City in the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division.

Chichester finished one place above us in 3rd last season so should be a decent contest.

Would be great to see more mens team season ticket holders coming along, ideal opportunity to bring the family too

There have been some great crowds this week in women's football - Tier 4 Ipswich had a crowd of over 700 for a midweek game - it would be great to see the women's team get a solid backing tomorrow.

Chichester are a completely different team this season, they lost their manager to Southampton Women's FC and their team was absolutely torn apart over the summer; one of their starting XI against us (when we beat them 1-0) is still with the club, two if you include subs. Should be a good game, though.

If it wasn't for the Chichester keeper having a worldie in the 2nd half it could honestly have been double figures.
