OUTV - Domestic & International Broadcasting

This situation is bloody ridiculous. I have just been onto OUFC TV to pay for it and nothing just a message saying there are no packages available in my Country (Spain). Furious does not cover it !
FFS!

This is why you do not launch something 24 hours before!

@Malc - Netherlands seem to be in a "dark market" so ALL games will be available.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCTION?

Fans will see an increased camera setup at the Kassam in the 2024/25 season, moving to a six-camera coverage, up from four last season.
Four my a**e. Most iFollow games last season it was one or at best two cameras.

Maybe for the games on Sky they had four, but yeah, no chance on iFollow they had that.

OUTV UK Subscriptions
Supporters can sign up to OUTV for an audio-only subscription of all Oxford United Sky Bet Championship fixtures.
Monthly passes cost £4.50, or you can sign up for the season for £45. Please note, due to the new TV deal with Sky Sports and the EFL, NO Oxford United fixtures will be live-streamed via video on the OUTV platform. Full-match replays will still be available.

I wonder if these will be free as iFollow match replays were?
WILL I NEED A SUBSCRIPTION FOR ALL CLUB CONTENT?

No. OUTV will still provide a free video service for all exclusive content, highlights and interviews. This content will also be available on the Club’s social media accounts.

When will I be able to subscribe?
Has anyone been able to subscribe?

Message I get is:

I get the above error (4 posts up).

I this goes to s**t, no one will be able to watch or listen to the game online!

Noticed that the club have gone with a seperate account creation / login system for OUTV rather than integrated it with the central Yellows Account system. That's going to be a real technical ball and chain - expect some quite messy supporter comms in a few months to get things back on track. I can't imagine the club would consider launching an app without single signon for instance. That was NOT the original plan and perhaps trying to do this integration and failing explains the delay. Depending on when they bit the bullet and decided to launch as a standalone might also mean a lot of last minute snagging. The StreamAMG platform we're using is solid and flexible but lots of it depends on client integration to feel seamless.

Hopefully registrations will open soon and all goes smoothly but there's no sign any of this stuff has been publicly tested and quite a lot of signs of technical issues behind the scenes. To launch a new supporter-facing system involving account management, payments and fulfulment journeys a few hours before the first league game of the season is so, so risky. Especially when we had a couple of prime home friendlies to use as beta tests. Fingers crossed and all that.

This is actually great news - I was just thinking the club website didn’t ask me to sign in enough times.

So as I suspected from my earlier posts on this thread, for us viewers in the US, likely none of the games shown on Sky are going to be available on OUTV (because they will be streamed on Paramount+ over here).

Kind of makes the £180 season pass a pretty poor deal. I'm kind of conflicted between saying 'What the hell, it's money going to the club' and gaming the system out of frustration at the fact that I'm having to play roughly 4x as much per game as I have done for the past several years.

Based on what Sky have announced for our fixtures:

.......OUTV will only be able to show two games in the US in August, two in September, one in October, two in November and four in December.

Match by match for the first four months = £70, monthly for December = £25. So £95 for a little over half the season.

And if I have to miss any games (bound to happen given that midweek games are on when I'm at work, and watching Oxford on the computer isn't a good enough excuse to miss every family outing), it will definitely be cheaper to go game-by-game, with a couple of monthly passes, than buy for the season.
