A stubborn unpopular leader who is poor at communicating, doesn’t listen and is embroiled in a ‘no confidence’ vote. Disagreement in the ranks and some well-known rebels voicing their unrest and challenging the leadership. No worthwhile deal in January (and valid concerns about the lack of a backstop) plus the realisation that in the last few months things have been completely c*cked up.
