YouTube Opposition Content vs OUFC

Look - after what he’s been through, and having the opportunity to give him real stick in the away fixture he won’t get more verbals from me at the weekend as I’d far rather concentrate on supporting our team. And at an emotionally disconnected level I’ve always ‘got’ the decision he made.

But good god man just acknowledge you left us in the lurch and could’ve handled the situation better. It was the same before the first game. Droning on about all that he did and being surprised he didn’t get more respect. And bemoaning how Oxford could’ve acted better to him?! It’s SO tone deaf and bloody-mindedly obtuse to the emotions of fans of a football club whom he left in a very poor manner and in a way which could’ve potentially really harmed our season. He really is very difficult to like…

Your second paragraph sums it up perfectly for me.

He really is a difficult man to feel any affinity with.

To be fair, the guy asking the questions did do the topic to death.
I think he did well not to lose his temper sooner. 19 minutes to 25 minutes is all Oxford. Interesting he was told not to speak to the players when he left. First I heard that tbh although I wonder if that does make sense given fears of poaching etc.

Anyway, I think he comes across as decent. Water under the bridge. He did a good job for us, I wasnt best pleased when he left but we are in a great place now. Hope him and his family are as best as they can be given the circumstances earlier in the season.

Ritually agree with your sentiment about supporting your team

I agree about him leaving and not acknowledging it, but I would like to know what problems when he left? The stick he got? If so what does he expect.
