I just meant the robust nature of his challenges. Could have just as easily said Sibley to be honest.Bit harsh on Vaulks. Ok, he had his failings, but laziness certainly wasn’t one. He also very rarely put in any awful challenges. Yes, he was relatively slow, yes he had a couple of absolute clangers, but there were worse players that Romeny has had the pleasure of training with.
You can’t possibly have seen Courtney Pitt play for us
Fixed that.Or Tiendalli, Emiliano Diaz andnumeroushundreds of players in the Conference.
Almost looked like he slipped when he made the challenge. Not intentional, and no malice in it. I'm not sure he's even got the mental energy to put any malice into a tackle.
Anyone recall Steve Anthrobus.
What an awful record of goals he had

Scored a nice goal on his debut away at Stoke but that was pretty much itAnyone recall Steve Anthrobus.

Ole’s social media manager is cursing that he didn’t do the chin thing before walking off the pitch.I would imagine the footage is being slowed down and edited together with some balletic string arrangement for his Instagram as we speak.
I saw his debut at Fleetwood. It was quite astonishing. Not in a good way. He literally couldn't run. It was a sort of limping half-jog. I actually felt sorry for him.You know Tiendalli was really really bad because he's mentioned more often in these kind of things than Xemi and the Man City loanees from the same season.
I expect that's because Tiendalli was clearly a decent player at one point of his career and he'd definitely lost it, whereas some of the others never had it in the first place. You know Tiendalli was really really bad because he's mentioned more often in these kind of things than Xemi and the Man City loanees from the same season.
I'm not sure that was absolutely necessary. Leave the trolling to Kip or Dick in futureCan I just remind us all that on Saturday 12th August 2000, Oxford United named a league starting XI that contained Ian McGuckin, Lee Jarman, and Peter Fear. In the same side. This level of talent meant that Joey Beauchamp only made the bench. We lost.

Well they have certainly gone down in legend. Quarter of a century on, and still causing nightmares...McGuckin and Jarman, a centre back pairing who were ahead of their time, as they always seem like they should have been around about 7/8 years later in the Conference years under Patto, instead we had them 2 divisions up and conceded 100 goals.
McGuckin was marginally the more useless of the two, but it was a very close thing. As far as I remember, McGuckin was given a free by Hartlepool, couldn't get another club and was working in a Hartlepool fish & chip shop when we offered him a contract. That team was the worst I have ever seen us turn out. It wasn't even National League standard. Probably the most embarrassing season I've ever watched.McGuckin and Jarman, a centre back pairing who were ahead of their time, as they always seem like they should have been around about 7/8 years later in the Conference years under Patto, instead we had them 2 divisions up and conceded 100 goals.
The funny thing is we first signed Phil Gilchrist from Hartlepool because we were scouting McGuckin.
I won’t have a bad word said about Peter Fear! Can I just remind us all that on Saturday 12th August 2000, Oxford United named a league starting XI that contained Ian McGuckin, Lee Jarman, and Peter Fear. In the same side. This level of talent meant that Joey Beauchamp only made the bench. We lost.

I've got one of his match shirts signed by the squad and framed on my home office wallI won’t have a bad word said about Peter Fear!
Oxford’s answer to Danny InvincibleI've got one of his match shirts signed by the squad and framed on my home office walltop tier OUFC memorabilia.
They were both terrible. I'm pretty sure McGuckin was even fatter and slower than Jarman. I shudder whenever I think of them both tbh.I will bow to your memory of one being slightly better than the other, I just remember watching them thinking it was like we had pulled a couple of blokes out of the Brit at 5 to 3 to play at centre back.

"Gonorrhea". Watching him play was really a pain in the nuts.I raise you Arthur Gnohere.
