Summertown Stars have gone downhill since you left. Donnington FC give them lessons in football now.Wonderful to see another Italian called Emil showcasing his talent for a team in red and white, after my 2 mediocre seasons at Summertown Stars.
Cornwall did qualify for the 2024 CONIFA World Cup. Although that isn't going to take place by the looks of things. The republic of Cornwall are a good side tbf,no shame in being pipped by them.
Again.
Hmmmm, if your government actually lets them in!Also, for those of us that rejoice in obscure, non-traditional football nations making their way to the World Cup.....
......let's all raise a glass to Uzbekistan, 2026 World Cup debutants! I look forward to watching them in action if they get a game in Philly or NJ!
(and Jordan will join them, also for the first time, if Iraq don't beat South Korea this evening)
That's the biggest compliment I've ever received!Summertown Stars have gone downhill since you left.
Don't diss the DonnySummertown Stars have gone downhill since you left. Donnington FC give them lessons in football now.
Depends how many countries are still around in 2040 and which areas are at low enough radiation levels to host the tournamentBy 2040 the world cup will be a year long tournament with all football leagues closed down for a year.
No, I am very much team Donny. My daughter plays for them. She's in the Ben Nelson mould of cultured defender even if I do say so myself.Don't diss the Donny
My first job after uni was working in a PR agency. They had Peter Beardsley come for some photo-op and I got him to sign a bit of paper which said “Your football skills are impressive. You will dominate football for years to come".That's the biggest compliment I've ever received!
Might have to print this off and frame it. Could hang it on the wall next to the photo I've just found of me grinning from ear to ear on my 8th birthday while donning my 1st ever OUFC kit present![]()
Peter Beardsley and photo-op are not words commonly heard in the same sentence. My first job after uni was working in a PR agency. Interestingly he arrived for the photoshoot by bus which made me like him a lot.
Very truePeter Beardsley and photo-op are not words commonly heard in the same sentence.
What a great moment for Ole, Lino and whole National Team, Indonesian President invited them to his house for lunch. No State affair, just a President appreciate the team for their efforts![]()
Is it maybe a team sports-casual outfit?A truly shocking outfit Ole’s got on there! Red is definitely not his best colour.
That's what you get when you order your Spiderman outfit off Temu.A truly shocking outfit Ole’s got on there! Red is definitely not his best colour.
Romeny is still a bit of an enigma to me, he’s looked good for Indonesia but the only time I’ve really seen him play effectively was as a striker against Coventry, when he was great. I’m not sure why he hasn’t been used there more, as he doesn’t seem to work as a ‘number 10’, whatever that’s supposed to mean for us.If it wasn’t obvious already, football in Indonesia is on the way up. The new World Cup qualifying means that Indonesia have a real chance.
From an Oxford United perspective that can only be a good thing and it’s become obvious that by playing out part (looking after two of their best players) that we stand to benefit from the countries footballing success.
Whatever you think of it. However new a concept. However different. Let’s get behind it for the good of OUFC.

He's still 2.9 million followers behind Marselino!
My fault. I bought the boy an indo 10 romeny shirt and it arrived yesterday. Sorry indo.Indonesia thumped 6-0 against Japan.
