He hasn't scored a pen in over a year - rubbish statsCameron "scored four pens in one match" Brannagan might have something to say about it though.
Nice to see Erick Thohir celebrating the goal in person.
Beckham's shock return from retirement.
Canāt see them qualifying for the WC unfortunately
Today's results mean that they will be playing in a group of three in October for one spot in the World Cup.
(although whoever finishes second in that group will then play the second place team in another group, and then the winners of that game will play in a six team intercontinental tournament for the final two World Cup spots in March)
Possible opponents will include the likes of Iraq, Oman, Qatar and the UAE......so it won't exactly be a murderer's row! They will definitely have a chance.

Need to wait Bahrain - Arab Saudi match......We are save now and secure Round 4. No matter what the result for our last away match to Japan.
It will be long and difficult way...but hey...at least we wil try and so far already in good progress. Even in the end not success....we already have good momentum and already and still build a strong team. Of course we want qualify and will try very hard.
Looks like OUFC will lost Ole and Lino again on October 2025. Both will travel for Round 4.
I too look forward to the Cook Islands playing Tristan de Cunha in the last 256 of the 2040 tournament. Truly breathtaking...Also, for those of us that rejoice in obscure, non-traditional football nations making their way to the World Cup.....
......let's all raise a glass to Uzbekistan, 2026 World Cup debutants! I look forward to watching them in action if they get a game in Philly or NJ!
(and Jordan will join them, also for the first time, if Iraq don't beat South Korea this evening)
Iraq beat them twice in the previous group stage.
...whilst Scotland watch from home after failing to qualify again.I too look forward to the Cook Islands playing Tristan de Cunha in the last 256 of the 2040 tournament. Truly breathtaking...

A bit mean......Uzbekistan are going to finish as one of the Top 6 Asian sides, so they would have qualified for the 2022 World Cup as well.
(it's the last two (and a third) Asian slots that are the new ones because the competition has gone to 48......one of the ones that we're all now hoping that Indonesia get!)
By then, Infantino will have merged the World Cup with his beloved Club World Cup, with every team on earth involved. Scotland v Swindon to see who finishes bottom of group ZZZHe is talking about 2040 though, by then FIFAs mission to find life on other planets to increase the number of countries involved should be paying off, a 2000 team World Cup on Alpha Centauri should keep you busy over a summer.

Part time? Iām supporting them more than England at this point!Well this is certainly a new (but welcome) way of passing the time during pre-season! I am sure none of us imagined being part time Indonesian fans! Starting to get quite invested!
