Matches Nov 2024: International Break - Matches Involving OUFC Players

Got woken up by the youngest, checked the USA v Jamicia game. USA won 4-2 on the night so 5-2 on aggregate. Greg Leigh came off the bench to play 30 mins.
 
This is Marselino I used to know. Looks like he is almost reach his ideal fitness again. STY put him as starter tonight.

The goal...nicely tricked the defender with pretend to kick at first time but he didn't.

But anything still can happen, 4 matches to go ( Australia ( A), Bahrain (H), China (H), Japan (A). Must fight and gain points in 3 matches, match versus Japan in their home is hard, maybe they won't play too serious in their last match when they already qualified, but still they aim winning in their home in front of their fans.

Hope Marselino will give his best performances too, for this club and in national team.

Watched the highlights. As well as his 2 goals he also hit the post. Player of the match in front of 55k, then back to struggling to get on the bench at the Kassam. Funny old game.

As an aside, San Marino have won their group and got promoted for the first time, admittedly the group was them, Liechtenstein and Gibraltar.

For the smaller nations it may be a good competition as they finally have some success.

The standard of that group is only a couple of levels above this seasons league two relegation battle.
