He was mates with fat Andy who was one of the early internet OUFC denizens. Used to post on usenet rec.sport.soccer back in the early 90s. He was still around for oxtales and even TiU I think, but then moved to the US and switched off. My stalkerish memory may recall that he worked in computational mapping software.
Diamond used to mention FA quite a lot on his Saturday morning radio 5 show.

Dominik isnt a fan he likes to think of himself as having a fondness for the club. He does the stadium announcing for Halifax Wanderers nowadays, he''s been living in Canada ages.

While not celebrities, there's a fair few successful/notable Videogames industry folks who are Oxford fans. Wasn't there a lot in the F1 world too?

He used to refer to him as 'Sad Andy' all the time if I recall.....just remember because I used to go to games with another Andy at the time, so we gave him the same moniker!

I was in a group with Andy that went to the 2010 Wembley play-off final.
In one of the more "small world" coincidences, a friend of mine works at UCL in London on measuring the depth of arctic sea ice, and then the animation for the BBC article on it was done by Andy from USA.

Whilst that is true, he lives very locally to the club and drinks in the Blackbird. By all accounts, he is a great guy. He has come to games and says he always looks out for our results, and can hear the stadium from his house.

Some people on here have mentioned Kaleb Cooper who supports Manchester United
 
Is there any evidence that Rowan Atkinson is an Oxford fan? (I know he has Oxfordshire links.)

I wonder if he's been confused with (former player) Ron Atkinson.

Fat Andy is no longer fat. He lives with his partner just north of San Diego near La Jolla.

I saw him last about ten years ago and we went to San Diego zoo for some anchorman vibes. He continues to work in the mapping industry.

He has seemingly lost all interest in Oxford United despite once being a complete diehard. We would often travel back from wandasworth together to home games at Grenoble road
 
Also are any of the posters here secretly celebs? I’ve often wondered whether George Elek is in here (think he is brilliant by the way). Robyn Cowan and Jerome Sale must read the forum. Robyn has just had a baby which is great news. Both also brilliant (I mean Robyn and Jerome although I’m sure the baby is lovely too).

I’ve often wondered if @bashamwonderland might be Timmy Mallet.

Misha Glenny posts on here infrequently.

Mine and @OnlyOneUnited's school chum Henry 'voice like hot chocolate' (someone genuinely sent that into RadOx when he worked there) Moeran used to post on the old TiU. I'm sure he lurks on here under a pseudonym.

I can never understand how you can go from a complete diehard to no interest at all.

I worked it out sometime ago, I won’t say who it is in case he’d rather remain anonymous.

Also, Fat Andy is and was a different person from Dominik Diamond's mate Sad Andy*. There has been some confusion from @chuckbert further up the thread. DD used to attend home games semi-regularly in the mid-90s, but always as a second club to Celtic - the trip to Oxford was easier than Glasgow on a Saturday when he lived and worked in London.

*I used to know them both so I must be notable
