Gutted! Was really looking forward to going to this. No chance now.

Pretty sure I saw them at the Zodiac once.
They're on the fringe of the playoffs already - in 8th, 2 points off 6th. And given they play Derby on Saturday, combined with Boro and Blackburn not playing, they could be in the playoff positions come the end of this weekend coming. What I don't get is why the hell EFL picked this game for a Friday night.
It's a team that might be on the fringes of the playoffs if things go well at home against a team that might be dragged into the relegation scrap if things go poorly.
There's surely more important games that weekend; and if we are due another Friday night game, there's surely more important Oxford games they could have moved? (games against Leeds, Sunderland & Sheffield United for starters)
Also personally annoying (though not as annoying as for those of you who were planning on travelling to see it in person) as that's my 10th wedding anniversary and I already promised the wife I'd take the afternoon off so that we could do something together. I don't think staying at home to watch us play the Canaries on Paramount+ was what she had in mind!

Other games that weekend
Saturday 8th March
Coventry City v Stoke City (12:30)
Watford v Millwall (12:30)
Bristol City v Hull City
Burnley v Luton Town
Derby County v Blackburn Rovers
Plymouth Argyle v Sheffield Wednesday
Sheffield United v Preston North End
Sunderland v Cardiff City
Swansea City v Middlesbrough
West Bromwich Albion v Queens Park Rangers
Sunday 9th March
Portsmouth v Leeds United (12:00)
@holdsteady I think the EFL commitment was that we'd be on at least 20 times across SkySports+ and the main football channel.
SkySports+: Stoke (H), Luton (A), Portsmouth (A), Derby (H), Hull (H), Sheff Utd (A), Millwall (H), QPR (A), Millwall (A), Luton (H), Stoke (A), Burnley (A), Derby (A), Coventry (H), Hull (A), QPR (H) [16]
Sky Sports Football: Norwich (H), Coventry (A), West Brom (H), Watford (A), Norwich (A) [5]
On the basis that the midweek games are automatically on SkySports+ (in bold above), I think our minimum of 20 has already been hit and beaten.
I can't remember about the rules on Good Friday and Easter Monday so haven't included those two and have probably forgotten another one.

As new boys and the smallest team in the league we were always going to be on Sky quite a lot. They did the same when Wycombe came up.They're on the fringe of the playoffs already - in 8th, 2 points off 6th. No the new deal was that all clubs got a flat fee regardless of the amounts of times you are shown on TV.Do the club get tv appearance money per match ?
I get that we may have “beaten” our minimum guaranteed games.
No, you’re thinking of Firestick Grannies.Didn’t the lead singer wear a see through crotchless catsuit and P**s in a cup on stage?
It's the 40th year annivesary of Norwich winning the Milk cup, against the club who won it the year after. What I don't get is why the hell EFL picked this game for a Friday night.
And if sky didn’t pay the money they do we wouldn’t be able to compete in the championship on our current revenue streams, no good moaning when the current revenue allows us to be semi competitive at this level along with our owners. It's also 'on' every single person who buys a Sky package. Far too many, up and down the country, moan whilst paying for it.
And of course there are far too many armchair fans to begin with - not helped by an abundance of firestick fannies now either.
Yes worth around £8m. Maybe more. If we didn’t have that money coming in we would be nowhere near competitive at this level with our current revenue streams unfortunately & is the price of our successNo the new deal was that all clubs got a flat fee regardless of the amounts of times you are shown on TV.
Also personally annoying (though not as annoying as for those of you who were planning on travelling to see it in person) as that's my 10th wedding anniversary and I already promised the wife I'd take the afternoon off so that we could do something together. As we have less revenue, the TV money is a bigger share of our overall revenue. Losing £8m hurts a team that otherwise makes £5m more than a team that otherwise makes £40m.Not sure I follow this logic at all!
We surely compete at a disadvantage to established, and therefore historically monied clubs?
In short: we get nothing that everybody else in the championship doesn't, and we've been getting that for less long!

It isnt equation solving, because our budget and Leeds’ don’t equal one another.Yes. But nobody is losing £8M in this scenario.
It's equation solving, remove £8M from both sides to simplify....
Yes but without it we wouldn’t be nowhere near, with the Kassam and our current revenue opportunities we are doing very well considering. Not sure I follow this logic at all!

I get that you're US based (judging by the way you spell defence) but why not suggest to the mrs a nice little trip over the pond to spend a few nights on the Norfolk Broads? What I don't get is why the hell EFL picked this game for a Friday night.

Not certain football in this country would exist, it would certainly have to start again, if no broadcaster was paying cash in.
If you want more 3pm Saturday games and the cash then only one solution, get rid of the 3pm blackout, which is only a blackout if you don’t know anyone who can can sort you out a fire stick or you can can’t use google.
I think that is probably what football in this country needs. The English Football League sold their soul to Sky in 92. Since then, the disparity between the top 6 in the PL and the rest has got bigger and bigger. It's why stories like Leicester winning the league are so special. It will probably never happen again.
I'd love the European super league to get the green light. Let the greedy bastards go and have their super league and leave the rest of us to get on with it.
Football is not a patch on what it used to be. VAR, Sky, players feigning injuries every 5 minutes... it is all driven by greed and geared towards the 'super clubs'.
Remove 50% from one budget and 10% from another and see who cuts back more.
Trouble is ours is one of the clubs that would go under, the big boys will flick off to a European super league and a 130 years of Football League history will be gone.
The bad guys survive while the little guys and the history goes up in flames.
What is the history worth when you've seen oil and saudi money buying their way to the titles over the last 20 years?
Without what have we got? This season has been interesting and entertaining because we know what we went through to get back to this level, without that context its 22 men chasing a bag of wind about.
