He wasn't in the squad on Saturday. The fifth is Ben Davies
I am almost wet with excitement already. Sign me up for my season ticket already!Making his move permanent suits us well no matter what division we'll be in next season. If we're in League One, then him and Harris are two good options to have leading the line, and if we're in the Championship then he'll be a useful player to have in the squad.
I don't think we've been able to see him at his best what with Rowett playing him as a 10 at times, and him carrying an injury for a number of weeks, but from what I've seen so far I think he's a useful acquisition.
I would say that if fit at least four of them would start on any given match day. BDK, McDonnell and Prelec already look good value for the fees paid, Spencer is young so will likely improve year on year, Woo looks like he's probably going to be worth the fee once match fit. Wouldn't expect to lose money on any of them. They certainly haven’t been cheap. Infact I’d say they’ve spent millions poorly on BDK, McDonnell, Spencer, Jeon-Woo, Emakhu & Prelec. There’s over 6/7 million pounds of fees there minimum. Thats before you talk about the five thousand loans.
Could be the case he is behind Vaulks and McDonnell in the pecking order or the decision to put an attacking player on the bench infront of him.Makosso, Lankshear, Donley, Roosken - makes 4 (loanees on Saturday).
Who am I missing?
I think it's too early to say, especially considering that doesn't look to be the case with BDK and McDonnell so far. You have to remember that if one of these signings comes off, then the resale value would be equal to how much the players you mentioned cost in total.
I must of watched a different BDK to a lot of people. For a huge outlay & club record signing I expected a lot more. Be interested what sides show an interest this summer for him & what kind of fee is spoke about.
This act is becoming really really boring, grow up.I am almost wet with excitement already. Sign me up for my season ticket already!

Oh come on it’s a bit of banter!Mocking Mark Harris after being quoted as saying that you 'loved him in league one after he did a great job leading the line on his own.'
As if you couldn't get any more strange.

Now there’s a list I’d like to be last on.Could be the case he is behind Vaulks and McDonnell in the pegging order
He’s looks like a child’s drawing of a centre forward ffsI think Prelec has shown signs of potential, but the question is, what’s his best position?
I quite liked him when he played off of the left, but felt he could do a good job in the no.10 role
It was the “seems a bonkers decision to me” that I was reacting to. I don’t think we can form such a solid opinion based on the circumstances so far.I don’t think anything I said was especially negative about him, when he came into the team he did look pretty decent, but my original post on it was about signing him while he’s coming back from an injury when we haven’t had a chance to look at him when healthy, that’s the strange part
Yep, recruitment and players have been superb this season, digs are out of order, apologies. Are your persistent digs toward the club, recruitment and players banter too, or just this post in particular? So I know for next time.
For me, this is THE most interesting debate on this forum. Personally I think BDK has been, already, one of the most talented players to ever play for the club [in the 40 years I've been watching us]. He's Brock, Magilton and Brannagan rolled in one. What's not to fall in love with???I must of watched a different BDK to a lot of people. For a huge outlay & club record signing I expected a lot more. It’s just a shame that the debate on BDK is hidden in the Prelec threadFor me, this is THE most interesting debate on this forum. There's no place for such level headed thinking on hereEveryone has an opinion and there is nothing wrong with that. I am just saying that I trust the opinion of the professionals over people on here.
I wouldn't go that far - he's been good but he's been pretty bad as well. Really he and Currie are no more than 'OK' at this level, and they're probably our most promising players bar Tyler. For me, this is THE most interesting debate on this forum. Currie to me at least is far, far more promising than Tyler at this pointI wouldn't go that far - he's been good but he's been pretty bad as well. Really he and Currie are no more than 'OK' at this level, and they're probably our most promising players bar Tyler.
You’d like to go last? Personally I’d rather not be on there at all but each to their ownNow there’s a list I’d like to be last on.

BdK is a very classy player. Probably our best midfielder since Magilton. He's played well most weeks in a struggling team. He'll have most of the high end Championship teams after him in the summer- and possibly 1-2 of the smaller PL clubs. Probably £3-4M+. The only other one who will go for big money imo is Currie. Definitely high end Championship ability, possibly PL, but a slight lack of pace might prevent that. I could see him going for slightly more than BdK, due to (younger) age. January player recruitment has been pretty good imo. The only obvious dud (admittedly on a small sample size) is Konak. If he's the 'future of Turkish football ' they're in for a tough decade. I'd give January player recruitment 7/10. January management recruitment 1/10. But that's a different thread! For me, this is THE most interesting debate on this forum. Indeed! I would be 90%+ certain that BdK and Currie are our only permanent players who are of interest to high end Championship clubs. Maybe they're all wrong! I am also pretty sure that another poster (who presumably has links to another Championship club) confirmed those two are the only ones on the radar...
