Yes it’s a wonderful act which is to be commended. Young men particularly are so affected by depression so football helping to care for its fans is an admirable step.

There was an OUFC fan who was sending out some distress signals on social media at the tail end of last season. It was very good to see fellow fans - most who didn’t seem to know him personally - offering support and reassurance. One particularly well-known poster on here even offered him his own ticket for games which is again commendable.

The old cynic in me thinks these 2 things maybe connected?

Social media has/is having a massive impact on young peoples mental health........ they would do better turning it off than setting themselves false hopes & goals.
