Next Season seems to usually mean sink or swim in the championship as regards to second season clubs.
Of course, it goes without saying that for us to stay up by just a point next season will be an excellent effort, especially as we will see some seriously heavily financed clubs in there swinging.
The players market will likely be awash with big spending clubs paying outrageously large sums of money for any lurking talent out there, which will make the task of recruitment all the harder ( and more expensive) for us.
Thank god Luton went down or they may have used that parachute payment far more wisely than they did last season.
As for us, mid-table mediocrity may well be the marque but as ever, it only takes a few wins (or losses
) to change the mindset.
No question we are up against it though.
Although If we can replicate the doggedness we showed last season and perhaps add a little more goal threat, there is every chance of competing in the upper half of this division.
I see us finishing mid-table.
