As I sit waiting to pick my son up from school where the fields opposite that used to have horses , trees and bushes , all next to a river , and it's basically just a housing development going on there ....have they had a similar request from these people?

I'd bet if we looked at thise involved with FoSB and BB&O wildlife trust we'd find links.

We're BB&O Wildlife Trust even asked. It seems there's a higher number of statory consulted than normal.

I'd bet if we looked at those involved with FoSB and BB&O wildlife trust we'd find links between the two organisations.

It's fairly common to get off-site green commitments in planning applications - one of the developments in our village replaced the trees and hedgerows removed for the housing by planting the replacement greenery along the edge of a farmers field in Little Milton - some eight miles away as the crow flies....

cant speak for elsewhere, but Friends of CSLewis Nature reserve in Risinghurst -aka locally as Narnia- ( a group of volunteers ) under the co-ordination of BB&OWT are on the nature reserve (at least) one Sunday a month, clearing walkways, cutting back over enthusiastic plants/shrubs etc and carrying out general maintenance on bridges , man made steps and resting place rustic benches situated on the nature reserve, ensuring that the nature reserve is in decent condition for its many visitors and regular users. Given The friends of CSLewis Nature Reserve, are genuinely active Friends, whereas FoSB, as we all are probably aware, have done zero, zilch, buggerall in fact, to improve the Sports ground and nature reserve that they have stolen the name of. I think generally BB&OWTwould more be aligned to ( Friends of) groups who are genuinely and actively proactive in helping with the upkeep of wildlife trust areas.

Odd request that, as the "habitat" is wasteland!
Isnt increasing the biodiversity of the site by at least 10% ar requirement of T&Cs

Arent 8 diseased trees and a manky hedgerow being replaced by 158 new trees and two brand new hedgerows?

the combination of which ( IMO) more than ticks all the boxes of replacing 'habitat'

Yes, found it positive that a wildlife trust said they have no objection in principle to a stadium on the site and just want the offset.
Although no idea where that would be.

Red lion with the rest of the wildlife

I would hate to see if they tried to actually take out a legal challenge as they will get ripped apart by the clubs legal team.
I’ve been involved in Planning Inspectorate enquiries when an applicant’s KC has taken down local councillors and pressure groups for their spurious reasons for rejecting a planning application.

It’s absolutely brutal and the objectors look absolutely shell-shocked after the KC has wiped the floor with them.
