Claiming he doesn't understand the point made about Stratford brake. You mean you don't understand how someone who plays ice hockey could be annoyed that the ice rink proposed at Stratford brake was binned? Either completely oblivious to the point you don't deserve to be in power, or trying to hide that you were complicit with KPC???
Id opt for the latter option- Gant is a really obnoxious piece of work IMO

iMO FoSB have never, ever carried out any community work whatsoever
@Sarge
The term “Friends of “ would in my mind be a group of people willing to help out
Those of you who live in Kidlington have you ever seen these people helping out?
As I understand it SB is not a pristine piece of land , they could have perhaps made the playing surfaces better, chipping in and helping the local sports clubs
Any evidence of that?

Meanwhile, the FoSB Facebook page is a hive of activity. And looking at their description, I'd love to see them do some community service!

Tbf they didn't say which community, if it is for the NIMBY community that they are part of them they've been busy. Think of all that typing that Suzz has done for her repetitive objections under different 'organisations'.

When Stratfield Brake and the Moors are both covered in houses (as will undoubtedly happen) the people of Kidlington will see with their own eyes the failure of Middleton/fosb/KPC. They will have achieved absolutely nothing.

A failure of leadership, a failure of meaningful engagement with OUFC, failing the very people they are meant to represent. They’ve wasted tax payers money on a useless poll, they’ve wasted the time and effort of their own supporters by misleading them into objecting against the new stadium with bogus advice, and all for what?

To raise their own personal profiles, and the desperate need to feel relevant.

Kidlington folk have been badly let down by those who claim to represent them.

Also fun that Sophie cut him off mid rant and told him that they weren't here to discuss OUFC Stadium matters. Poor old Gant, so far up his own backside.
He got a right dressing down from other callers as well. Trouble is, he'll just plough on anyway. Like so many politicians, ego comes first.
F@*k me, that was difficult to listen to. I don’t believe this bloke has ever been on a bus in his life.

I had to go to the JR recently. I could’ve walked back to St Aldates quicker than it took me to get there on the bus!

I’ll know for next time (assuming it’s not terminal!)

That’s a pathetic set of responses from an elected Councillor. Extremely immature and childlike.

Not dissimilar in the way Trump communicates.

The people of Kidlington deserve much better representation.
And yet they keep returning him.

The mind boggles.

So far in 2025, pretty much smack bang in the middle of the year, we've played 10 (ten) home games. There hasn't been a game since April and won't be a game with a capacity crowd until August.

18 Jan 2025 | Blackburn Rovers | 1‑0 W |
21 Jan 2025 | Luton Town | 3‑2 W |
1 Feb 2025 | Bristol City | 1‑1 D |
15 Feb 2025 | Portsmouth | 0‑2 L |
1 Mar 2025 | Coventry City | 2‑3 L |
15 Mar 2025 | Watford | 1‑0 W |
5 Apr 2025 | Sheffield United | 1‑0 W |
9 Apr 2025 | Queens Park Rangers | 1‑3 L |
18 Apr 2025 | Leeds United | 0‑1 L |
26 Apr 2025 | Sunderland | 2‑0 W |

104 games a year?! Thats simply disingenuous. There won't even be 104 events a year with a capacity crowd. Even tge premium venues like Wembley and the O2 aren't full twice a week!

😂😂😂

It's almost like he doesn't have a clue what he is on about.

People have told him this but he's too arrogant to realise

Ive feeling he actually believes he can spread any malicious, misleading and blatant misinformation ( in direct breach of the Councillors code of conduct -overview below), whenever and wherever he chooses, knowing he wont have any consequences to face
Councillors code of conduct , in Oxfordshire County and Cherwell district specifically, is evidently not fit for purpose

Seven principles of public life

Holders of public office should uphold the following seven principles:

  • Selflessness
Holders of public office should act solely in terms of the public interest.
  • Integrity
Holders of public office must avoid placing themselves under any obligation to people or organisations that might try inappropriately to influence them in their work. They should not act or take decisions in order to gain financial or other material benefits for themselves, their family or their friends. They must declare and resolve any interests and relationships.
  • Objectivity
Holders of public office must act and take decisions impartially, fairly and on merit, using the best evidence and without discrimination or bias.
  • Accountability
Holders of public office are accountable to the public for their decisions and actions and must submit themselves to the scrutiny necessary to ensure this.
  • Openness
Holders of public office should act and take decisions in an open and transparent manner. Information should not be withheld from the public unless there are clear and lawful reasons for doing so.
  • Honesty
Holders of public office should be truthful.
  • Leadership
Holders of public office should exhibit these principles in their own behaviour. They should actively promote and robustly support the principles and be willing to challenge poor behaviour wherever it occurs.

I’m reminded of my school days.

If we had been playing around in class, misbehaving and generally being a knob, one particular teacher would march us to the front of the class and ask “boy are you silly or stupid”? You had to answer with one or the other.

So Councillor Middleton “are you disingenuous or stupid”?
