What amazes me about the Green Party is that they continue to tolerate and accept Middleton’s behaviour, both locally and nationally.
he has cost the Green party locally more votes than he has gained- I know of at least ten people who would very likely vote Green, who will not vote for the green party while he his involved, as he has been campaigning, actively campaigning to basically kill the football club they all support

Also remember every time a Statutory consultees offers a no objection thats making even harder to refuse
Occ
National Highways
Thames Valley Police
Chiltern Railways
Natural England
All basically saying get on with it
Have a feeling CDC are being pushed into a corner, they either approve it or it gets approved on appeal & they get a massive legal bill.

I wonder how wary they will be of that.

If they vote against it, it can only be on personal predjudice, which will get them in hot water.

Land Behind The Moors campaign ( same cronies as FoSB appear to be involved), as well as the proposed £5 per day congestion charge for Oxford will have at least some of his attention Id think
I will be getting my support in for the project behind the Moors and encourage others to do the same. Once again it is a project which will greatly help both cricket and youth football in Kidlington. The area concerned is currently a glorified dog toilet.

Hope you’re right Billy
Just a feeling I get that he’s keeping his powder dry
Because he doesn’t want to be associated with a losing cause.

He will say he fought hard against it but the council are against him, he loves to try and play the hero gimmick.

He’s just a tit.

The project “Land Behind the Moors” is a fundamental step towards a positive future for Kidlington. The sporting facilities will be first class and much needed housing a massive step forward for local people. With So many barbers and coffee shops in Kidlington, we need to expand the population of Kidlington to keep these businesses going.

The way I see it Middleton thinks of himself as a maverick, in the same way George Galloway does, albeit at Kidlington Village level. The main difference is that Galloway has ‘charisma’, debating skills and a good orator. Ian has none of these..

Both lack leadership skills, both are not team players and both cannot do collective responsibility. Neither will ever actually achieve anything meaningful in politics, but I doubt either has the personal awareness to see and understand that.

To be honest, I think it would be a bit childish to jump on the other application just to get at the instigators of the campaign. We are better than that.
I agree - I don't know the details of the moors case, but having grown up in Hampton Poyle just the other side of the river) it used to feel very much like a flood plain and probably very good for wildlife (unlike the triangle).

You give IM far too much importance in the planning decision. He is not a member of the planning committee, he has no voice when it comes to the outcome.

If he has a hand grenade to throw, it needs to be done before the planning officer makes his recommendation because once that is in, it's too late to find a colony of Dodos who have a symbiotic existence with the Slipper Orchid in the newly discovered Ancient Woodland....

If it provides local facilities for local people I’ll always support it.

I’m an Oxfordshire boy born & bred, I’ll support anything that encourages a healthy lifestyle for the next generation.

But no support from the ruling LibDem's like we've seen from Labour and the Conservatives.

Which is fair enough, that's a valid reason to support an application.

If they turn it down and go against all advice it will get overturned on appeal, they may be able to delay it slightly but it won’t be stopped is my honest opinion & then CDC are going to find themselves with a large legal bill.

They have precedent for allowing building of large structures in rural or village areas with that water park in Chesterton. I don’t see any way this doesn’t go ahead, one way or the other.

I don’t think they will want a large legal bill but if they do then that’s something they will need to explain to Oxfordshire residents.

They have magic mushrooms as well?!

If you read the support document from John Moss the cricket chair who's support submission is from Gowen Lea, I think you will see why I will support it, all the same reasons you would. Nothing to do with jumping on another application I am just in favour of it.

I do wonder whether Middleton and his FoSB mates have irreparably damaged their reputation and their ability to stop any enjoyment.
