Extension for 2 years at the Kastad no doubt FOSB will say we’ve got a further 2years so why not permanently
Mr kassam has said it him self it's time to move on there is absolutely no doubt now that we can not stay that is the end of fosb argument

“Parties confirm no further extensions are possible”
is the key statement here. Which means the club and Firoka/OGB have agreed the site will not be available to rent after that.
This now nullifies that stupid newspaper article

Two seasons gives us breathing space but still very tight. What happens after that if we’re still waiting for the stadium to be finished?
I think they are pretty confident that we are very close no other reason to bring this statement out now it's tight but doable

Oh I know mate but you know the sort of crap FOSB will come out with it would be worth paying to watch them squirm

As I understand it, a planning application can be "called-in" at any time from submission up until a decision is officially notified to the applicant (presumably, the 21 days?).

One of the grounds for call-in is where an application has significant effects extending beyond the immediate locality. It's arguable that the stadium would fit this criteria, but (at least) two SoS haven't thought so, so I'd think it unlikely that it's going to happen once CDC eventually arrive at a decision - but politicians are funny things....
The 21 days would start from the date CDC notifies the SoS following a resolution to grant planning permission. The referral is triggered by the Green Belt development.

"Option on second year conditional on stadium being given approval" sounds ominous, guessing thats it if we get turned down then.

Cherwell council, the clubs life is in your hands.

Well surely you have it right there, the exceptional circumstances for building on green belt land.

With tat statement CDC must now know that we can’t stay where we are and the club will go out of existence

Perhaps we should all write into the portal again stating exactly this point

Hopefully he’s not doubled the rent for 2 years, but sounds a positive move to push for the new stadium..
Yes I’m thinking the same. Staying at the Kasstad for another 1-2 years must or probably should include:

- An increase in rental charges (to inflation levels)
- More attention by the stadco to the cleanliness of the stadium, basic utilities like the toilets
- An increase in ticket & ST prices next year, to fund new/unexpected costs plus support signing new squad players
- An improved relationship between the club & landlord.

This is great news, but please no fawning and thanks to Firoz Kassam!!! That statement is typical of him, spinning it as if he actually gives a s**t about OUFC. This is all about him making (another) shed load of money, this time from developing the site. The fact that he's clearly asked for us to formally place on record our thanks to him is also galling. The sooner we're away from that scumbag the better.

But still, a hell of a useful statement at this moment in time!
