I'm not even sure that whether we can or cannot stay in our current stadium is a material consideration that the planning officer needs to take into account.

Might explain why there has been no real effort put into countering the criticism. It's obviously to our advantage if objections are built on sand.

It's a material consideration for meeting the special circumstances needed fir greenbelt development.

You don’t have to prove it’s 100% impossible to stay at the Kassam Stadium — just that it’s not a realistic or sustainable long-term option. That’s how planning law works when it comes to building on Green Belt land.

As long as Oxford United can show that:

Their current lease is ending,

Staying would harm the club’s future,

And there are no better options nearby,

…then that’s enough to help justify building on the Green Belt under what’s called “Very Special Circumstances.”

You’re not expected to prove every other site in the world is impossible — just that none of them work well enough for what’s needed.

It may not matter anyway as Ridge and Fabrik have produced a compelling argument that the land is "Grey Belt" as set out in the current National Planning Policy Framework regulations.

I wonder which trusted member of staff the Fail will send along? Or will they just rely on the usual suspects to provide their side of the story?

That would be a very good question for a resident to ask tomorrow. Whole thing been handled really badly by KPC.

The LibDem/Green controlled KPC absolutely despise us and OUFC. It's extremely concerning CDC is also LibDem/Green controlled. Can they make a fair and unbiased decision given the way LibDem and Green councillors have behaved in stadium matters and towards us fans?
