I conclude that the planning officer knows his stuff and the planning committee are absolutely clueless and need better training
100% it will be over turned on appeal
That is an incredible decision.

They have eight votes for refusal on the ground that the site is currently designated for residential use in the current local plan, even though it (a) has been proved unviable for such use and will be classed as commercial in the next iteration of said plan and (b) is currently in a commercial environment. In recommending approval, these areas were considered and the reasoning for approval outlined. In the meeting itself, the advise given by not only the planning officer, but by the chairman of the planning committee and the CDC Development Officer, was that refusal on grounds covered by the explanation of why the recommendation to approve was arrived at were likely to be indefensible if taken to appeal. It was also strange that the majority of those speaking out against the increase in employment were from the Labour party.

Incidentally, Mawson was absent with no substitute nominated (also Messrs Sibley and Clarke for those of you that "spend" your council tax on such things) - their votes might have carried the day.......

This is Ridge saying this.
Presumably this assertion can he challenged?
How important is this?
it is ridge saying it but they are basing it against all the planning frame work im no expert but it all does stack up
Ridge have referenced every statement in the documentation. Every argument has been countered and backed up by reference to expert opinion, reports and Government policy and practice. As they say themselves in conclusion, there is no ground to turn down planning.

You can't argue against fact but old suzy will try her best

I have to say that reading all these documents published by oufc in their bid to build the stadium is commendable. Whether they are successful or not in the application. They have had the balls to try to create something for Oxford and Oxfordshire for the good. It is so easy sitting on the sidelines and critise the bid ie FoSB, but do absolutely nothing and having no balls in creating anything for the better for Oxford and Oxfordshire ie investment in jobs, investment in community projects and inparticular nurturing the younger generation as they are the future.

wondering who Freeth LLP are???

well they led the landmark High Court victory for 555 sub-postmasters, exposing Britain's largest miscarriage of justice which led to the quashing of hundreds of criminal convictions. Our legal team has been involved in the Post Office Horizon scandal for almost a decade, providing unmatched depth of knowledge and experience

.oufc have got this
