I can only imagine the web design was handed over for some sort of school web design project.Totally agree. One of the worse websites I've seen in YEARS.
I am also a web professional - I simply *could not* release a site in the state it is, even now. I'd be having sleepless nights. As I run a web design company, from the outset I declined to comment on the website 'design' as that would be unfair.
That said, I was gobsmacked the website was released in the state that it was. All my websites are thoroughly road-tested on a 'staging domain', so everything is ironed out prior to launch.
I'm also gobsmacked, that here we are some 4 weeks later, and there are still many examples of poor user experience and navigation issues / errors that have not been resolved.
Good job the fixtures are here thenThe men's fixtures have now been put on the proper page (https://www.oufc.co.uk/fixture/list/62) - at last.
However, it does not say which competition each game is in - which would be a sensible addition (it did on the old site and does on the 'Upcoming Fixtures' section of the home page). It does have the kickoff time twice for some reason.

Has anyone tried turning @ZeroTheHero off and on again?404: Sleep not found.
it's probably the constant turning off and turning on cycle which is causing him to miss out on sleep in the first place.Has anyone tried turning @ZeroTheHero off and on again?
I can think of one poster on here who would be bang up for the latter.
Ha ha. I think it needs more than that (although it is the best offer I have had in a while!).Has anyone tried turning @ZeroTheHero off and on again?
Not a web pro, but been involved in a lot of pro web dev projects. Original state is one thing, not to have some things sorted after this long...I am also a web professional - I simply *could not* release a site in the state it is, even now. I'd be having sleepless nights.
Given the state of the website, I wouldn't get your hopes up...I just noticed if you scroll down to the bottom of the website on your phone there is a line stating ios and android apps coming soon. I look forward to that
Club don't really take advice from anyone about anything these days (except on the community side). It's generally an "I know best, I must control everything" vibe unfortunately. TBH the obvious thing in this case would have been to reach out and recruit some pre-launch user testers via places like this or even OUSP/OxVox - that's certainly what most sensible organisations would do with such a loyal and close 'customer' base. @SwissYellow did a good Twitter thread a couple of weeks ago pointing out some of this stuff and how skilled the Oxford fanbase is. Others on here will have much more recent experience trying to offer expertise in different speciliasms and met brick walls - its a culture thing. Anyhow, we know the club visit this forum and if the SLA or anyone working on marketing were to reach out pretty sure they'd get lots of great free insight or help.I’m absolutely not a web pro, but there seem to be plenty on here. Have any contacted the club to offer their advice? Just wondering.
its a bit rubbish - and Im no expert, more of a luddite technophobe me.Given the state of the website, I wouldn't get your hopes up...
It's getting there Sarge - another new info sorting today update-the app perhaps will be more user friendly. Atm it seems there are too many strands and having to move away onto another platform for tickets doesn't help anyway I did manage to buy tickets and a membership recently finally!its a bit rubbish - and Im no expert, more of a luddite technophobe me.
IMO a website should be simple, straightforward and easy to use... the 'new' club website isn't any of them
Fair points, thanks, and by posting that I hope the club do take notice.Club don't really take advice from anyone about anything these days (except on the community side).
