The new media chap, Ryan Maher has done a wonderful job in improving the social media and video content.

I would be surprised, indeed worried, if his remit also included the upkeep of the whole website. Surely much of the website content should be managed by the commercial and retail team. And if its not their remit, I would be asking 'why not'?

We have much to be positive about, but I have to say the launch, snagging and timely upkeep of the new website has been frankly woeful.

I’m hoping for one thing in amongst all this amateurish website, ticketing, outv, shirt sponsor embarrassment: that the team are going to come out well drilled, inspired and thoroughly professional and trounce the canaries. All would be forgiven #ficklefootballfan

Less than 48 hours until our first game back in the Championship for 25 years.....

- No pre match interview from Des
- No updated squad lists with pictures of the players in the new kit
- No squad numbers announced for the season
- No article about going to the game, what there is for fans to do before and after the game, how to get to the ground etc
- No official confirmation you can buy the kit on Saturday from the club shop
- No announcement of what the away kit & 3rd Kit are going to be

It looks like it is going to be a VERY busy Friday for the media guy.

Apart from that, all is going well behind the scenes at OUFC.

Now coming up to 24 hours before kicking off our season back in the Championship and lets look at what has been done out of the list above....

Amazingly the club have managed to not only write a preview article but another one about U's Cash and still fail to mention whether fans can get the new home shirt tomorrow.
I am a bit confused to why there has been no pre match interview with Des yet either.

Yes with WILLIAM Ebiowei in the squad. Also I am sure our match sponsors tomorrow will be pleased to learn that they are in fact sponsoring a match versus Fleetwood on April 1st. Really need to get a grip especially when looking to attract commercial partners

Good to see it up. Such a by-numbers basic effort versus the quirky, stylish prose we used to get from Chris W even on humdrum things like previews and match reports. Technology wasn't his thing and looks like he's going great guns at the Hoops but if you're reading this Chris - thanks again for the words down the years, sometimes you just don't know what you had till its gone.

It wasn’t too easy. I did it on my phone and got there in the end.

I went for the £45 audio pass and after entering all my details was asked to get approval from my bank, which I expected would happen.

Instead of £45, the sum that had to be approved was shown as £0.0. Not surprisingly my payment was rejected and I was asked to try again, which involved restarting from the beginning of the process.

This same thing happened again, but the third time everything was OK. I received email confirmation from the club that I’d subscribed.

Got Pass ok as went for OTP but the Live OUTV section isn't up and running yet is it?
The site has to do a lot but it's also trying to do too much if that makes sense.

Choose outv link on side or top menu depending on device and the click on subscription packages - the audio is at the bottom of page - when you've signed up and got email confirmation it will show you as owning the sub.
