Matches New chant/Yellows specific song?

There’s no meaningful football going on, it’s a cold rainy day and the golf course is closed, so, staying indoors, I got to thinking about OUFC chants and stuff.

Now, bear with me on this…there are very few of us up in the SSU who join in (for lots of reasons) but we do listen and appreciate the efforts of the Jim Smith stand. Sadly, though, there are very few that can identify specifically with the mighty yellows. So I have the following suggestion which could, with minor adjustments to the lyrics, work very well. It also contains a very easy ‘crowd response’ opportunity
( A bit like the “Sweet Caroline….. dah dah dah” )

We try up in the SSU but, trouble is apart from “my heart beats for you……” there is not much that is easily turned into a simple yet tuneful chant…….that could also be used at away games too (IMHO)

It's also a good awful song, makes me feel like I'm in a marquee behind a pub listening to a local live band.

My concern is that if we sang the new labour song it might kill Essex yellows, who deep down I am fond of.
