I was looking at the plans for the new plough lane ground it's £20 million for an initial 11k capacity stadium with option to increase to 20k if required.

Scunthorpe are looking at building a 12k capacity ground for £18 million. That includes a hotel, gym and other stuff.

When you think of what is rumoured to be the cost of taking ownership of our dump it really is worrying!

If £13m is the asking price for the Khazi that looks quite cheap compared to those two doesn't it?

I say if because I imagine it's gone up recently. By at least £600k

How is that cheap bearing in mind you need an additional 2 million minimum to get all the repairs done and to finish off the east stand plus 3-5 million to build the west stand and all the lost revenue of it not being a 21st century ground plus we all hate the place and yes I am in a bad mood

Less I guess if you want an unfinished atmospheric in need of repair stadium. But would you want a 60% built house as your home

No because the others are new builds and probably built to a decent standard. It would take at least another 5 to 7 million to get Genoble road finished and all the work that needs to be done.

Do the costs at Plough lane and Scunthorpe include the cost of land or just the building costs?
£13 for Grenoble road would presumably be freehold

Yes the land costs would depend on the area surely, Wimbledon and Oxford located in more expensive areas, no disrespect to Scunny.

Here's a nice little breakdown, as of 2004 for a 25K stadium.... We are going to need apart from the land £45 Mill I think..
