Conference National league playoff today

Harrogate promotion is a great story. BUT

They knew the rules at the start of the season that if they were promoted they had to play on grass in the Football League. Now they have been promoted the realisation that they haven't done anything about it shouldn't mean that they are allowed to groundshare with Doncaster to get around the rules. They spend money on the team rather than get the ground up to league requirements and get promoted and get away with it. What is the point of the rules in the first place? EFL seem to turn a blind eye to just about everything unless it is concerning Macclesfield.

Tbf to Harrogate, they'd have had the normal summer off season to have done it if Coronavirus wasn't happening. Coronavirus has shortened the time available. Harrogate have known and planned for it so they didn't have a problem afaik about putting a grass pitch in.

That article talks about 'moving' for the first month of the season - which is 2 or 3 home games. Given the ridiculously late end to the season then it seems entirely sensible for the league to allow them to do this.

Especially as Coventry are into their 2nd season!
