Suggests we may be looking at a few more on loan.
Not necessarily. We are already at our matchday squad loan limit, so getting him on a permanent as opposed to a loan may have just been about fitting him into that, as opposed to keeping a space open for even more loans to come in.

You may well be right, though.

From what I read before Pompey fans said he mostly played on the right for them

Great deal on a permanent, even if only a short contract. You would imagine that there are terms about extending in the summer when we stay up. Alongside Donley, thats the potential for two long term signings that could become big assets.

Feeling positive that we're beginning to go in the right direction but still protecting ourselves from holding huge contracts if the worst was to happen.

“It’s a short-term deal, but this is a great opportunity for me to show my qualities and make a real impact in the Championship."

Hopefully if we stay up and he's a good player we have an option to extend. Otherwise that quote sounds like he's here to impress other clubs and then leave in the Summer.
I'll drive him to his next club in the summer if he does enough to impress other clubs and keeps us in the Championship.

Is he an 8/10, a winger or all of them?

Can someone who knows what they’re talking about and is capable of not making an inane joke for a second confirm what position he usually plays/what type of style of player he is?

Thought it was quite funny personally but each to their own. Pretty versatile but usually plays as an attacking 8. Can play off either wing. Has played as a 10.

He runs clean through opposition defences apparently - "The 23-year-old played 30 games for Swansea last season, scouring four goals and contributing three assists"

Expecting him to clean up then?

Hard to say exactly. He has been pretty fluid across his career....

...and last season at Swansea.

Looks like his a modern day forward who can play anywhere across the front 4, or sit a little deeper in midfield if needed. Quick, so best suited as a winger but could also be the type to play on the counter from a more central position.
