Definitely has some positive attributes, technically decent, good strength, won his fair share in the air when Cumming kicked to the wing on his side, positionally sound and quite clever at winning free kicks.

But either not fully fit or playing within him self a lot of the time, that was always my impression. Also very one paced, hardly ever went past a defender or beat them for pace. Several times when he had the chance to leather the ball in front of goal but for some reason was quite passive.

Not a disaster, but didn’t set the world alight either.

I agree. What sort of career do you think he will have out of interest?

I think he'll have career floating from one side to another in the Championship.

He clearly has a high opinion of himself and clearly short term commitment on his part.

A very frustrating player.

One of those typical modern day players, who's come through a decent academy, but never really excelled in any department, and who therefore will never have a best position, and will just float through his career, never really achieving anything, except a big fat bank balance!

He wasn't prepared to take a shot - would always turn to look for someone else in front of the goal.

I think he was scared to miss in case it affected his career optiins. Not sure that not taking a shot will do much for him, mind.

Yeah I said this when I watched him in numerous shooting positions aswell.

It's like he was too perfectionistic to want to attempt a shot and potentially miss, so always took the safer option. If he was forced to shoot it was such a weak effort that it's like he couldn't be bothered to score. He's way too nonchalant for my liking.

I very much doubt that was going through his head at the time. More likely he didn't have the confidence in his finishing ability, as was shown by some of the outcomes when he did have a shot. He nevertheless finished his half-season with three goals, the same that Stan Mills managed in his whole season

It was always on his wrong foot, or he was wearing the wrong shoes for shooting.

He was very much an academy “attacking midfielder” as they seem to produce about 5 million of them who apparently can play anywhere in the 3 behind lone forward, but who never seem to actually suit any of the positions that much. I get that academy’s are there to produce top class players for the big clubs, but the ones that have to drop down because they are not going to make it in the prem almost have to learn a different way of playing, some can easily, some take a while to and others just can’t get out if the academy mindset.

When he plays further up the pitch, he looks lost, and is completely incapable of beating the full back with skill or pace, and has zero eye for goal.

I'd be inclined to play him on the left of a midfield three, as he seemed to do better work when getting on the ball in slightly deeper areas, and with more of the pitch in front of him, to pass the ball into players feet, and seeing as he's a decent size and capable of doing defensive work, he's probably better suited to a slightly deeper role.

I really enjoyed watching him. When he came in he was a colossal step up in athleticism and quality from what we had before - and that is a big part of the reason why he remained in the team for the remainder of the season despite a limited number of goal involvements. As someone else alluded to, his performance at Leicester was genuinely exceptional.

Unfortunately, the double-edge of that sword is that from minute one of his time with us (when he was chucked in from the cold and reserve team football to play almost two hours of an FA Cup game at MK) he has had to play the vast majority of his minutes without much respite.

My opinion is he ran out of steam both mentally and physically a few weeks ago and really should’ve been rested/rotated more frequently, both coming off more in-game, and not necessarily being a default starter. It has soured his time with us a little - but I don’t think it is all his fault.

His general demeanour throughout his time here has made it clear he has no intention of turning out for us in L1. And to be honest, his limited effectiveness at the business end of the pitch coupled with his somewhat lethargic body language and the vanishing act he pulled in the massive games against the likes of Derby, Pompey and Wrexham mean I’m not that bothered about it. He’ll get another lower-end Championship team, or vanish into the European leagues for a while. But I’m certain he’ll need to improve his tangible outputs on the field and stop simply being a ‘theoretically’ good player (because he’s big, powerful and a good mover with the ball). Attributes and pedigree are useful. Attitude and output are essential too. And he lacks there a little.

But genuinely I do wish him the best of luck. I enjoyed watching him up until the Easter weekend. He was a massive step up and far closer to the levels of physicality and technical ability that the championship demands.

He'd be perfect for the SPL and maybe even the Old Firm (they're very partial to technically gifted but otherwise run-of-the-mill Championship level players).

Easy street is the opportunity to flat-track bully the f*ck out of Falkirk and St Johnstone whilst 'earning' 25k a week.

Which is really what it's all about for most of them, isn't it?

Never rate him, he couldn’t be arsed most of the time.

Overrated.

Didn’t like his first interview when he joined us quote “I ended up here!”

I thought he was pretty weak!
