Welcome to Oxford United, Myles Peart-Harris!
Oxford United are delighted to announce the signing of forward Myles Peart-Harris from Brentford on a deal until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old, who recently played in the Premier League in a 4-2 win over Everton, is a dynamic and direct attacker with over 75 senior appearances across the Championship and League One.

Having come through the Chelsea Academy, he has previously enjoyed spells with Forest Green Rovers and Portsmouth in League One, before spending last season in the Championship with Swansea City, where he made 30 appearances and contributed seven goal involvements.

Peart-Harris signs in time to be available for tonight’s FA Cup Third Round tie away to MK Dons.

Odd wording of this one... "on a deal till end of season"? so not a loan?

Welcome MP-H.

Chelsea reject, Chelsea reject…

Sounds like a promising signing and a return to our previous recruitment model 👍🏻

Only here till the end of the season at the moment so unless we sell him by the end of the month its very much a for the moment signing.

Good luck to him and hopefully he can bring some athleticism and quality to aside which need both.

Ah fair enough, had only seen the “permanent” element, so had not realised it was only a six-monther.

Still, he’ll be keen to put himself in the shop window so hopefully he gives his all for the rest of the season as he certainly seems to have quality.

Hopefully an option for us to renew.

I reckon he's going to play a massive part in keeping us up with goals and assists in an amazing 2nd half of the season for him on a personal level and (with a potential false dawn or two) us.

And then sign for Portsmouth because they offer him 3 years instead of 2.

“It’s a short-term deal, but this is a great opportunity for me to show my qualities and make a real impact in the Championship."

Hopefully if we stay up and he's a good player we have an option to extend. Otherwise that quote sounds like he's here to impress other clubs and then leave in the Summer.

Why would he sign for Pompey in League 1.

This is a great signing. Really good player who did well last year at Swansea.
My guess is we have reached an agreement to sign him till the end of the season to avoid having too many loans in the squad.
Suggests we may be looking at a few more on loan.
Lets hope it goes well. the only way this will be extended is if we stay up!
