General Most You've Celebrated An Oxford Goal

I celebrated his 1-yard tap-in away to Derby just as much as that. 2-2 draw, blazing sunshine, loud away support. Great day, shame we couldn't hold on for 3 points.

Edit: And his winner away to Watford in a 1-0 win at Vicarage Road. He strode through the middle of their defence before firing home.

What a legend.

Yes on that Derby goal. He went nuts with that goal unsurprisingly and we all followed. I think Simmo score one of theirs?

Moods' goal at Ninian Park when he ran through the Cardiff team from our half.

Moods' goal at Wycombe which led to that photo.

Mentioned already I think but Magiltons winning goal at Leeds in extra time to win 3:2. I didn't go to this game, but listened at home with my dad on the radio.

I remember that hug of celebration so vividly and if I close my eyes I'm back there 😢

Another one I remember with my dad was being stood down the front at Swindon away when Dave Penny scored! Didn't need fake limbs then!

THANK YOU for starting this thread - bless you 🙏

Levens half way line goal was good fun. Constable away at the skip was probably the most because of the occasion.

Lots of goals to be fair.

The goal I celebrated the most whilst listening on the radio was Dean Saunders late winner at Luton in '87 that kept us in the top flight. Dancing around to the RadOx commentary when it went in.

And the goal I celebrated the most following via Teletext was Jefferson Louis' winning penalty in the shootout at Charlton in the League Cup.

The only disappointing thing about Magilton's goal that night was the stewards had been moved, replaced by the Police, after they celebrated the Leeds equaliser in the faces of the us in the away end. In the process causing trouble where there hadn't been any.

To have celebrated that back in their faces instead would have been magic as well as doing likewise at the final whistle.

Tom Craddock's late late winner against top of the table Port Vale, when they'd equalised in second half added time. We scored basically immediately afterwards. Cue pandemonium.
Ah yeah I remember that one. I think some of their fans went on the pitch when they equalised. Seem to remember there being a bit of trouble that day.

The odd thing about that game is I have a false memory of its being a night game. I looked it up and it was Saturday 3pm. In early October too, so not even dark.

That was the goal I was just about to mention - although I did celebrate it at the Valley.
That was us, as a League Two side, knocking a Premier League team out of the League Cup, and it felt to all the world like the start of a turnaround for the club after the dire Smith Mk.2/Kemp/Wright years. Little did we know.......

One of two goals where I kind of lost time after the ball hit the back of the net, and when I came to, I was several seats away hugging a complete stranger.
(the other was Alfie at Wembley, although that might have been extra points because the guy I found myself hugging was a Pompey fan.......)
