Astonished it hasn’t been mentioned more.

I passed out for a brief second during this.Brannagan vs Peterborough in the semi-final. Think every supporter in that ground was expecting the next one from Pbo after they got a first.
The happiest I’ve felt at football. All of the Wembley/promotion ones had too much riding on them. This was just ridiculous fun.Martinez - Boro
You thinking of 83/84 season, when we went on to lose 2-1 I think it was? My first away game, dad thought The Den was the perfect place for my first experience awayHowever I have a candidate for least celebrated goal. Millwall away in the first minute we went 1 up and we didn't even realised we had scored until the ball was put back on the centre spot for Millwall to kick off again.
I celebrated his 1-yard tap-in away to Derby just as much as that. 2-2 draw, blazing sunshine, loud away support. Great day, shame we couldn't hold on for 3 points.
Edit: And his winner away to Watford in a 1-0 win at Vicarage Road. He strode through the middle of their defence before firing home.
What a legend.
The goal I celebrated the most whilst listening on the radio was Dean Saunders late winner at Luton in '87 that kept us in the top flight. Dancing around to the RadOx commentary when it went in.Mentioned already I think but Magiltons winning goal at Leeds in extra time to win 3:2. I didn't go to this game, but listened at home with my dad on the radio

I remember that hug of celebration so vividly and if I close my eyes I'm back there
Another one I remember with my dad was being stood down the front at Swindon away when Dave Penny scored! Didn't need fake limbs then!
THANK YOU for starting this thread - bless you

Ah yeah I remember that one. I think some of their fans went on the pitch when they equalised. Seem to remember there being a bit of trouble that day.Tom Craddock's late late winner against top of the table Port Vale, when they'd equalised in second half added time. We scored basically immediately afterwards. Cue pandemonium.
The odd thing about that game is I have a false memory of its being a night game. I looked it up and it was Saturday 3pm. In early October too, so not even dark.Ah yeah I remember that one. That made it 2-0You were more confident than I was at 2-1 then, second half took an absolute age to go past. We were much more comfortable against Bolton than we were against York.
Keith Cassells at brighton sealed the comfortable victory. And all his other goals that season when he was on fire then we foolishly moved him on.Steve Biggins v Man Utd
Andy Thomas v Newcastle
Keith Cassels at Brighton
Moody's at Cardiff
So many more
And the goal I celebrated the most following via Teletext was Jefferson Louis' winning penalty in the shootout at Charlton in the League Cup.
Yeah must have been about then. Was a horrible place to go to then. You thinking of 83/84 season, when we went on to lose 2-1 I think it was? My first away game, dad thought The Den was the perfect place for my first experience away![]()
I was going to mention that one. I might be wrong but was it a David Fogg chip into the box Joe Cooke knock down and Vinter on the volley from 12 yards?Mick Vinter's 9 second goal at Elm Park
