Yes, I thought he was really good. Not afraid to take responsibility with the ball (didn't try to pass it way like a hot potato), prepared to take his man on and was intent on getting into the penalty area. A very good first showing!

He'd been brilliant in the 18s and deserved his chance yesterday. There's plenty more talent in that group too: Snowden, Bradney and Griffiths we're all aware of, plus Jack Lee, Mubarak Abolade, Kas Burton, Ajae Patel. All of those are future first team players, especially under our current coaching set-up.

Many youth players come into the first team and conspicuously don't yet quite have that physical edge or burst to cause difficulties to more experienced pros. Not the case with this fella - has that little burst over two yards to make space that make it seem he's already ready to be an asset. A really promising start.

A totally fearless debut from Mo - impressive.

I think it's important not to expect too much too quick; he's still very young and inexperienced, but there certainly appears to be a player there on the evidence we saw yesterday.

If there's one small positive to come from the embargo shambles, it's that there is now a clear path to the first-team for a few of the younger players. If we were able to sign players this summer, not a chance would Mo have got on the field in the first game of the season, or even near the bench.
