Yet they are happy to go against Middlesbrough, Cardiff, Leeds etc? Not even certain Millwall get in the top 3 in this respect in this division.
I think it was a combination of unattractive opposition, who play an unattractive brand of football, recent results, and the 12:30 kick off.
If anyone didn’t go “because it was Millwall” I’d be interested to hear exactly why, and what they thought might happen?

Definitely the 12.30 kick off would be the major factor as to why the attendance was lower and lots of empty seats.
Sure it doesn't affect everyone and I've heard a few fans saying they prefer the early kick offs but we all have different circumstances and commitments.
I didn't realise quite how many games would be moved to an early kick offs just so they could be streamed live on sky sports + and if this is the normal from now on I may have to re-evaluate wether getting a season ticket for next season is beneficial.
My youngest had to miss playing football today so I could attend the game with my oldest just so the game could be streamed to a limited audience on an app. League football should be played at 3pm Saturday so it doesn't affect the grass roots game.
Wouldn’t be a problem if we got rid of the 3pm blackout, most games would be at 3pm on a Saturday then, certainly more than at present.
Millwall ‘flu’Think it being Millwall would've put some off. Their reputation preceeds them.
Showing 3pm Saturday games would decrease attendances. 3pm Saturday kickoffs are engrained in British culture and are sacrosanct so if you want to watch a game at 3pm on a Saturday you need to leave the house.
Always surprised by how many fans want to increase the number of armchair fans.

Except that if you want to watch a prem game at 3pm on tv then, with very little effort, you can? And attendances are up across the country. It’s s**t kick off times that are a bigger problem to match going fans.
I, and loads of other people, travelled miles today to watch games that were televised so we could have watched it from the comfort of our sofas but chose the live experience because the two are not the same, tv doesn’t replace getting out there and watching it in person.
Genuine question but are attendances up in non-league? Because that has to be a consideration as well.
There was the local youth league finals at Oxford City that ko from 11am my son and Grandson was playing so they missed the Millwall Grandson team had three season ticket holders playing plus there parents was twelve teams in total we probley lost a 100 of the gate There.
Most boys football kick off around 10 am across the county and with a league game and then a development game it doesn't finish until around 11.20. Unless you are already in Oxford itself you aren't getting in to the Kassam until well after 12.30. It was noticeable how many were entering late in that first half yesterday.
I missed the boys football yesterday and decided to leave Abingdon at 11 am and didn't get to my parking spot in Littlemore until 12.10. A combination of Culham and Clifton Hampden bridges both shut due to floods, road works in Abingdon and Christmas shoppers heading into the city made a 25 minute journey normally into over an hour. I can't help think that a 3pm kick off wouldn't of been as bad of a journey due to alot of the shoppers would have already been in the city by then.
