I’m flying out at 6am Monday morning to Estonia. Taxi booked for 2.45 to train station.

I’ll watch and I’m not unduly concerned I’ll miss much of great worth as I suspect the game will be won or lost by then. Unless the other half needs help for an hour and three quarters trying to fix the WiFi connection to the pet feeding machine, which is quite possible.

(Assuming no weather delay, which is also quite possible).

Actually, on reflection, it looks like I’m toast with regards to a focussed viewing experience…

The pet feeding station sounds nightmarish!
 
We've got the better players and the weather is going to be fine. Not sure what the nonsense is about playing up there, it's only like walking up a big hill. I remember going up Arthur's Seat and seeing some kids kicking a ball about with no problems at all.

Of course having to run up the slope at the Manor was similar, with players famously getting light headed in the 6 yard box.

That's why memories of us over turning a first half deficit attacking up the slope in the second half are extremely rare. In fact, struggling to think of any occasions off hand when we did that.

Azteca Stadium - 7217ft above sea level.
The Hawthorns - 551ft above sea level.

At 5:10 this morning, having done a Likely Lads and with her knowing I’d watch the 7 am replay, the wife asks “who scored all the goals then? It was 3-2 with 5 minutes to go last I read”

Coming in From a quick errand part way through the second half, she witnesses a foul by an England player and asks “is this where he gets sent off?”
 
Glad I`ve got a day off, Everards Beer Hall was a great place to watch it. Chilled atmosphere, nobody lobbing pints about and a lovely sunrise. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Apparently we've infected the world with throwing beer around as the Norwegians were doing it as well. Saw some US fans doing it but then they could just get some water as it would be the same.

I really don`t get it............. especially the price of a pint these days! :)

Good news is that table bookers last night got priority to book for Norway. :)🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
 
So I got up and watched it first thing, along with most of the football fans I know, and it was a good choice. The only thing you miss is the communal aspect

I’ve said it a lot, we need a confederation to take on FIFA and the most likely candidate is UEFA.

AFC have the oil states who will toady to FIFA, CAF and CONMEBOL won’t leave either and CONCACAF are part of the problem this time around. If UEFA can one day grow the balls too say ‘no more’ to FIFA, we’re on for a change in the culture at FIFA. A World Cup with no European nations would impact their coffers.

With Spain and Portugal with the World Cup in 2030x I can’t see it happening any time soon though.
