At least he clarified, that despite the claim the previous week from his paymaster, he has little football experience in running a football club. Certainly less than the 20 years of football experience (which Niall kindly explained had been as a scout and probably running a school football team). For the record, I am sure he is a thoroughly nice guy and applaud his clarification on the question raised to him about his experiences in football.
He has also finally spoken about the
'Five Stadium Options of which the Kassam Stadium was Number 6' - we now know it to be three options, one of which includes remaining at the Kassam and it's that I'll add something.
OxVox, albeit under a previous committee/officers, have been banging on about the great location the Kassam finds itself in for a significant period of time. It is about to have a huge regeneration of housing built on the other side of Grenoble Road, a Train Station hub coming into the Science Park and providing a central point to an area of Oxford that needs all the help it can get. So a little surprised to see after all the research, we still no little about the 'Planners' that were appointed to help and assist, that the Kassam has popped back into the Top 3.
And sad it took a year and a complete U-turn for the middle/senior management of the football club to decide working with Firoz Kassam and honor the agreements in place, was actually the right thing to do.
It's been a shambolic 12 months.
All my energy now is supporting the players who wear our yellow shirts with pride and manage to stay up and I'm going to try and post infrequently from now on
