But we were saying this at the start. We had the deepest squad ever but that at any given time we could be without 4 or 5 players. This has come round a bit sooner than expected but gives players the chance to step up and show their worth.
Every team will experience this at some point. As it stands with those fit we still have a better matchday squad than last season and that should be enough to stay competitive.

Christ, the guy didn't just crumble. He was injured as a consequence of Preston kicking everyone up in the air.
Ed Waldron summed it up perfectly at the fans forum, some players are signed for the minutes that they'll play and some are signed for the magic they produce when they play. Phillips was always going to be someone that we nurture in and out of games even without him getting battered by dirty opposition. But the quality he has will continue to shine on his return, and I'm sure that he still has plenty of games still in him.

I’m just happy that if I pull my hamstring on the way to my seat I’ll have plenty of experts around me to diagnose the injury..
He played in the U21 match on Tuesday, so is well on his way back from injury.

He is fully fit for tomorrow according to Des in his latest club video, along with Placheta and Brannagan. This is a massive bonus even if they are all on the bench.

I find it hard to imagine Cam starting on the bench. If he is and if I were Josh Mceachran I'd be keeping well away from him in the warm up!
