One of the reasons I go to watch Oxford is to see Shemmy dribble the ball off the pitch. I enjoy seeing his facial reaction every time the line of the pitch surprises him.

It’s @OX14’s narrative.

Everything bad this season is exclusively on GR.

The cut budget, the daft tour to Indonesia and the recruitment that didn’t match his style have nothing to do with it.

(And before any accusations that I’m absolving GR of any blame, his selections for the last few matches were a case of throwing darts at names on a board and hoping that it would work. He was out of ideas and banking on January to get us out of the rut - if he got there - or was waiting for the sack.)

There are some on here who won’t acknowledge the other factors involved in explaining why we’re in the position we’re in.

Hang on @unification . Are you seriously trying to say that life is actually quite complicated and there are multiple reasons for the way things turn out and that one specific point doesn't automatically lead to another specific point? Madness.

Don't talk to @Essexyellows about his potholes are only caused by heavier cars theory.
 
Mike Dodds in the pictures on the website from training yesterday.

So looks like he’s been brought in with Bloomfield.
Believe he worked with him at Wycombe before Dodds then took over as manager when Bloomfield went to Luton.

Highly rated coach, especially with youngsters.

Yeah, Dodds is VERY poorly rated by Wycombe fans (all 212 of them) after his managerial tenure. Not really relevant to coming in as an assistant manager/coach for us mind…
 
Would be very happy with this appointment assuming it’s confirmed, a very highly regarded coach who has played a role in developing so serious players. Wouldn’t mind him using his connections with Sunderland to bring in a few of their squad players either.
