Welcome Matt! Keep us up please 🙏

Awesome 👌 lets get on with it ,lets get them players fitter ,stronger and playing better attacking football and if we go down lets all make a real go of it. Welcome Matt wishing you a long and happy time at the club.

Well he's already off to a better start than Rowett was as he wasn't announced in a match preview.

Good luck, Matt.

Yep, certainly not my first choice and it’s borderline farcical it’s taken so long, but he’s in now. Time to get behind him. COYY! 💛💙

I notice at the bottom of the statement it mentions further announcements regarding his coaching staff so hopefully that means he’s bringing his own team in. May have contributed towards the delay?
That was something that leapt out at me.

"An announcement regarding any additions to Matt’s coaching staff will be made in due course."

If he gets the same runaround that Des suffered then the SMT will deserve every criticism going. Nobody likes to see staff leave but, if the new man works best with his own team around him, then that's what he should get. Manning turned up with an entourage and it worked.
Nothing against any of the current coaching staff but this is football and it's a hard world.

I hope that any announcement has just been delayed to finalise contracts, salary etc. I would also hope that Shorty's contribution is recognised. Perhaps Hacket could return to his previous role. Vital, at this time, is that our status as a Championship side is made safe. Anything else is secondary.

That middle ground between not the one i was hoping for or the one i was somewhat dreading, fair enough really
2 home league games to start with, lets get 4 points please!

If the same group of staff he’s taken with him everywhere don’t come with him then it’s time we get more vocal calling for a change of our SMT.

We shall see.
