General Match day build up threads???

Question for the mods @Northstandboy , @SteMerritt @Carpy - are matchday build up threads a thing of the past now?

We are away to Coventry in TWO evenings time , Nothing in the way of a matchday buildup thread as yet
( NOTE the last time I started a build up thread we lost- lesson learned for me not to tempt fate on that subject from then onwards)

Conversely there's an innundation of Ticket threads for the next 3 ,4 or more games all running ? ... are these ALL really necessary this far in advance of some of them taking place?

It is open now, I will standardise them all to open at 0900, MDT will open at midnight on match day.

What if there is no midweek game?
So after the Coventry game on Friday night 16 Aug, how about 9am Saturday open a match build up for the Blackburn game on 24 Aug?

Build up threads were normally open 2/3 days before the game (last season).

Maybe they could open on the Tuesday, is a week not too long.

Up to you and the rest of the mods. I think as soon as one league match has finished we are looking to the next one. Same as the local news sites I often post links.
Though I get post-match traffic road closures for Coventry was perhaps a bit soon before the season had kicked off.
