Interesting it talks about a joint Aus/Indonesia World Cup bid, should imagine our owners will be involved in that, if it was successful I could see a few more Dutch players with Indonesian heritage here.
Might be worth looking at the credentials of Indonesian couples having kids in the next year or 2 then. They just awarded the 2034 World Cup uncontested to Saudi Arabia.
Asia therefore won't be eligible to host for two more cycles. So the earliest Indonesia could possibly host the World Cup is 2046.
Bit early to start prepping for that!

Agreed. One of, if not the worst country Iโve had the misfortune of having to work in.Is that hosting it or have they won it already?
Must admit I spent an over a fortnight there (in one go) and it was far too long.
Nothing we didn't know already, to be honest.Aussie based brother at game. His view :
Marselino quick and skilful but couldnโt knock the skin off a rice pudding. Will never be a Championship regular.
Romeny, mobile, holds ball up well, their best player.
I hope you don't mind i post story like this, still related with the player
The story : After match between Indonesia-Bahrain as usual, already became habit, after the match players will walk around stadium to meet their family, and thanks the fans for their endless supports.
One kid caught Lino's attention with banner Marselino May I have your jersey....so he is more than happy and willing to give his jersey that he used in that match to that little boy. Before he threw the jersey he made code to other supporters that the jersey for the little boy....but one shameless adult assh0le without felt guilty took the jersey and walk away....( Clip 1 )
The story not ended here....Lino also posted in his IG with his official mineral water sponsor asked netizen to tracked this litte boy and promise this little boy he will get his jersey ( clip 2 )
And also since for get the ticket every supporters must join official ID of National team, finally they could track this little boy through his Father's membership ID...and he got not only Lino's jersey, but some merchandise too ( Clip 3).
And the shameless Assh0le...don't worry his face already viral on social media....social / public punishment will be more cruel for him.
Nice to see Patrick Kluivert, Denny Landzaat and Jordy Cruyff visited Oxford to monitoring Ole and Lino, although Lino still not in OU's first squad.

Also interesting, caught by TV camera, who sat infront of them while watching the match.....Pascal Struijk from Leeds United who also not in squad for last night match, but interesting or coincidence they sat in same area ? Maybe start for official approach / talk for make him play for Indonesian National Team since he also in list that Kluivert want for strengthen the team. We'll wait and see.
There was an Indonesian lad near me for the Sheffield Utd game. He had an Indonesian flag and draped it over Romeny when he went back in the tunnel. Ole was very chuffed and shock the guys hand. When are you going to come over and watch a game @vcool ? Weโll roll out the red carpet for you.

I'm of this opinion not only for the benefit to the finances etc. but also the more footballing fact that our wingers have been a big part of our weakness this year and we have an unknown quantity and a free hit to try him out in. We need to know if we will be able to rely on him in any way next year and trying it now when it doesn't matter makes more sense than trying it later one when it does.Surely Swansea is the game to give Lino his full league debut? Nothing to play for, chance to prove himself in the Championship, secure a massive social media boost from the Indonesian populus, etc etc
Iโd like to see us pick a strong side and try to win but it would also be a bit daft not to make use of a dead rubber and just relax a little and enjoy a game without tension for a change.Surely Swansea is the game to give Lino his full league debut? Did Ole have one of those hand buzzers from the joke shop ?There was an Indonesian lad near me for the Sheffield Utd game. He had an Indonesian flag and draped it over Romeny when he went back in the tunnel. Ole was very chuffed and shock the guys hand.
Childish . . .. but also my first thoughtDid Ole have one of those hand buzzers from the joke shop ?
He will be a known quantity to the manager and coaching staff - theyโve seen him every day in training for months. Iโll trust their judgement on this.I'm of this opinion not only for the benefit to the finances etc. but also the more footballing fact that our wingers have been a big part of our weakness this year and we have an unknown quantity and a free hit to try him out in. Yes of course, but the phenomenon does exist of players who are able to turn it up a notch in front of a crowd. I seem to remember reading something about Gazza where a manager said that if it was based on training they'd never pick him, but the man on the pitch in the stadium was a totally different animal to the man on the training pitch. Of course I don't think Lino is the next Gazza but I can't see it as being any harm in seeing if the match factor gives him a better game.He will be a known quantity to the manager and coaching staff - theyโve seen him every day in training for months. Tony Obi likes this.Ignore the circumstances of why Lino is here.
We have a young winger in the squad, who is desperate for his league debut, it's the last game of the season with nothing to play for but pride.
He has to be involved, and I'd also have a couple of the youth team on the bench too.

Stick the hotshot YT strikers on the bench as wellIgnore the circumstances of why Lino is here.
