Current Player Thread Marselino Ferdinan

Has been on the books at Belgian side KMSK Deinze. They are in the Challenger Pro League (div 2 in old money).
 
Think that’ll be a good bit of news for increasing our support and profile in Indonesia - they must be buzzing over there right now!!! I just hope he hasn’t been foisted on us for those reasons though - I’m sure the Indonesians want to see him play in the Championship and we don’t need to be carrying baggage, even if he’s under 21. Hope he’s been brought in with real intent to strengthen the team.

Now design the 2nd or 3rd kit to include the Indonesian national colours and watch the Rupiah flood in.
 
Well he won't count as one of our registered players as he is only 19yo.
Let's see how he does. Good luck to him (he will only play if he is good enough , so very little to lose I guess)

It’s this sort of stuff that makes me love this forum. Turning it from signing an Indonesian player to Polish cuisine in Rose Hill in only two sentances is just superb stuff! 😀

With a population of 280,000,000 it’s only a matter of time until Indonesian football will have a few breakout stars; in fact it’s kind of surprising that there hasn’t been one already.

Whether this kid is the answer to that time will tell, but mixed with the commercial benefits a signing like this brings, it isn’t the worst move to look to the Indonesian market for potential future gems
 
Think of the shirts sales with MARSELINO on (I can visualise it now lol) not just in BBL or just like ROSEHILL but Jakarta with a low profile Indonesian urban populous of 35,300,000.

Could be a marketing winner?

i think an all red kit would cause some to explode with rage.
