A strange long term appointment as his record at Stoke towards the nd was consistently terrible at the end. For their talent, they have been largely bad.

Or to have a better recruitment policy when those players have moved on. Southampton's has been awful and they seem to have stopped introducing young players from their Academy. Their recruitment of managers hasn't helped as none of them seemed the type to give young prospects a chance.
