It would be a surprising choice for him: they don’t strike me as a strong and stable club, and he’s always been keen to do due diligence after getting his fingers burnt earlier in his career.

Would expect him to be looking at top half L1 clubs or struggling Championship sides if anything.

That would be a significant drop in ambition: Leicester City to a relegation battle in L2, with the risk of a drop through the old trap-door at the end of the season. Apparently he was at County for their FA Cup tie on Saturday.
The Shrewsbury job is now vacant, but Kevin Nolan seems to be favourite for that.

Notts County must be high up the table of basket case clubs: no less than 23 managerial appointments in the last 20 years, PLUS 10 periods of caretaker management in that time. Not to mention a few weird weeks of Sven-Goran E as "director of football".

They were interested in the summer and also when they got rid of Nolan.
No surprises if they're going back in for a third time.

Wonder if he regrets turning down Barnsley?
He’ll gave to start again In Lge 1 once he rejects County. Brain dead move

Can't say the scummers waste any time moving from the frying pan into the fire. Almost as quick as they get home after playing us!

For me going to Shrewsbury would be a backwards step aswell they massively overachieved last season & now in a position where you’d expect them to be after selling all there better players, a big league 1 club with ambition to go up (Sunderland, Barnsley, even Bradford if they weren’t in the position they currently are as they were expecting to be in the top 6) or a decent championship club should be his aim otherwise we should be going in for him if he’s looking to manage clubs like Shrewsbury & Notts county
