General Manager Sack Watch

Not certain Brentford having sponsorship from a betting company means they are not well run? Bournemouth are above far bigger clubs, have sold players for a lot of money and don’t spend anywhere near as much as some clubs in the prem. if you don’t think those two clubs are well run then not really sure who is?
You’ve only got to look at their player sales to see how well run they are.
They got huge fees for Watkins, Toney, Wissa, Mbeumo etc.
What a conveyor belt they’ve got with Thiago the next big one.

It's a business model, they even have a name for it these days - "moneyball" which I think is an imported term from the US which is hardly a surprise the way the game is going.

Bournemouth cheated to get where they are and now they’re there with a minimum 120 million income each year they’re sorted.
As regard Brentford I was always led to believe they were sponsored by a betting company which helped them climb the ladder

The owner of Brentford was a professional gambler who started up a firm called smart odds after falling out with Brighton owner Tony Bloom, who gave him his first job in the gambling industry. So, given that Brighton and Brentford’s owners money comes from exactly the same background I don’t think you can separate the two.

Bloom did well with Brighton but in a pretty empty market down there. Benham has achieved as much in a part of London where Brentford were the fourth biggest club, but this season look like being the highest placed of those four clubs despite Chelsea running up record debt levels while Brentford lost their two best players and manager in the summer for big fees.

They haven’t been bankrolled any more than any other club, less than a lot, just been very smart with it.

You can’t act like an incredibly well organised club with a clear plan being implemented by professionals who know their roles if you don’t have those things. You can say you are but that’s different.

I ageee with yellowbow above, having Ferguson, who is rarely in the country and, while seeming a nice enough bloke, doesn’t have his finger on the pulse is not going to push us up the levels that get increasingly tougher as you rise, we need a more hands person at the top.
