General Manager Sack Watch

They realise they’re playing Oxford soon and sacking the manager might get them a result.

It appears that the importing of mangers from the US has yielded little success. Especially when you add Nancy at Celtic and Rooney (at everywhere).
He had worked in England before going over to America at Shrewsbury, Chelsea and Man United. Generally as head of academy or as an assistant.

Changed my mind on Terry...moaning he isn't getting opportunities/not taken seriously and wonders why when he is managing a 6 a side team full of youtubers!

"I don't feel I need to sell John Terry as a manager or a coach or whatever that may be. If someone needs to win football matches, I'm not sure you're going to get anyone better. If you want to carry on losing football matches, then continue what you are doing." He sounds like he has been talking to Sol Campbell. :ROFLMAO:

Reap what you sow - serial tosser.

From memory I cannot recall Albion being in the 3rd tier in my days of following football from the late 60s. Relegation if it happens to them, would be a financial disaster, so huge mistake appointing a manager with little championship experience.

Other midland clubs have been in div 3 in recent and not so recent years, Villa, brum, Wolves, Stoke, and Coventry, some even fell to div 4. They all recovered over time so I guess West Brom will too.

Couple of seasons in the early 90s I think?

Come on west Brom, take another punt. I'm sure he'll do really well for you and you will definitely stay up.

Forest had a few seasons at level 3 as well.

Did Villa drop below the second tier? Can't remember that, easily the biggest of the midlands clubs. But Leicester and Derby have been down in the third tier fairly recently.
You are going back to 1971/2 for that, before my lifetime. They have only been outside of the top flight for 7 seasons since then.

They did .....but still got a disproportionately high number of games shown on Star Soccer compared to us. 😡

Now that what I call holding a grudge!
